Can Palin ever come back?

A closer look at the words of Obama, Depeche Mode and U2. Plus: Why do straight actresses make the best lesbo porn?

It's always such a pleasure...

to read Camille's column, then browse the vitriol, hate, intolerance and bigotry that flows like water from the deranged minds of the left-wing psychos who spew their bile on anyone who dares to fall out of liberal lockstep formation. As the left so (unintentionally) ironically likes to refer to themselves as "tolerant", it's always a kick to see the blind hatred and intolerance Camille's exercise of her right to free speech provokes. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until the weenies at Salon cave to the pressure to conform and drop Camille's column, but until then, I will be a faithful reader and I support Camille all the way!

I was always taught that if you can't say something good about someone...

...

So there.

Palin is not going to study

"Whether Palin has a national future or not will depend on her willingness to hit the books at some point and absorb more information about international history and politics than she has needed to know in her role as governor. "

Obviously she is not going to do this. After all, she does not think she really has to study anything and over 70% of Republicans agree with her and still want her to be Pres.

Soros/Assassination

George said that "beating GWB in the election is a matter of life and death." I called the FBI, but to my knowledge, nothing was done.

It's rarely such a pleasure...

Sonny Black seems to take the frightened view that anyone who opposes Ms Paglia's nonsense is perforce opposed to her right to publish it.

I enjoy reading Camille, no matter how contrary to fact and common sense may be her opinions. Unlike Mrs Palin, she writes in comprehensible English and avoids pseudo-backwoods gibberish.

Mrs Black accuses those of us who are critical of Mrs Palin's utter lack of qualification for the Presidency (intellectual, personal, professional, experiential) to be somehow "intolerant" of this inadequate woman. Fair enough.

Please then tell us about Mrs Palin's actual qualifications to lead and manage and unify the greatest nation on the planet. Be precise, now. Even one qualification? Half of one?

Some are willing to tolerate dunces in high office. Others? Less so.

When the Republicans could nominate such superbly-qualified women as Dr Condoleeza Rice, Sen Kay Bailey Hutchison and numerous others, why on earth would they be satisfied with a know-nothing like Mrs Palin?

It's Coney Island Time!

This reminds me of the "shoot the freak" show at Coney Island. The entertainment is provided by the shooters, not the freak. Ms. Paglia is a sideshow attraction!

A look into future letters to Camille...

Letter 1:

Hi Camille! I find your witty, erudite, post-feminist letters to be amazing. What is the secret to your genius and how do women like myself become more like you? Also, I was thrilled to learn that, like you, my alcoholism has no correlation with drug use. Bottoms up!

Letter 2:

I found your observations on Sarah Palin to be both astutue and accurate. How else will women realize their potential unless they sacrifice their right to choose, eschew intellectual growth, and learn to appreciate the empowering debilitation of red stiletto heels?

Letter 3:

Like you, I am no fan of victims. Especially dead victims. When will the tyranny of the post-mortem over the living be broken? I for one think all murder victims should be subject to cross examination, regardless of the national toll zombie-ism might bring.

Letter 4:

My husband and I were having an argument as to whether all cylindrical vegetables represented a patriarchal bias in the vegetable kingdom when a question came to mind that only you can answer: How awesome is it to be Camille Paglia? My husband and I, who are not Camille Paglia, believe it could be either very awesome or incredibly awesome.

Letter 6:

Note to self - You need to pick up the mail, buy some milk, and find five contrarian views to troll Salon readers with that would make Christopher Hitchens blush. Additional note: Don't get this mixed this up with your other reader letter concepts.

Putting the 'rant' in 'tolerant'

WOW! Camille sure generates a lot of vitriol from allegedly tolerant Liberals.

Though I often disagree, I've always been impressed with Paglia's honesty and intellect -- characteristics too many of the pseudo-elite poser in our society seem to dislike. Camille is Salon's attempt to be 'fair and balanced'.

The Q

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:30 AM

Ahhh Where to begin....

First, let me say that I am NOT a regular reader of Salon but I do read CP's articles from time to time.

Although we do not always agree (and I believe that something is seriously wrong when someone agrees with any other person more than 90% of the time unless they are identical twins), I salute Camille for her intellectual honesty. She is not afraid suffer the slings and arrows of the vile and vicious left wing demagogues when she has an opinion or observation of fact that is obviously contrary to their party line or Marxist philosophy. In addition, she listens to talk radio (and admits it) which means that she rarely takes statements made there out of context and avoids a foaming-at-the-mouth appearance when discussing something that was said on talk radio.

As for the poster that said the real show is in the letters, my comment on that is, "They are entertaining only if you receive pleasure by witnessing how the immature, jealous, resentful, and venomous left embarrasses themselves publicly."

In addition to the lies, revisionist history, name calling, and juvenile Palin attacks found here, one poster chose to write a short novel about hate crimes and hate crime legislation. It was refreshing to read Camille's position on this because it mirrors that of mine and many others. To differentiate punishment based on what some jurist(s) determine are the perpetrator's thoughts is not only ridiculous but violates the Constitution and the right to equal justice. We are not mind readers. Hate crimes legislation is something more suited for Cuba, Venezuela, China, or the old Soviet Union.

Alec Baldwin = mean killing machine

And now Alec Baldwin would like to run for Congress:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article6659422.ece

So here he sits blabbing about killing elected officials and now wnats to join them.

Northeastern media, aptly identified Camille. If they are in their death throes I'd certainly like to see that process increase. Corrupt as the day is long.
