Paglia's Hillary article
Camille's take on the Clinton campaign is the most penetrating of any yet published, mainly because of her superb delineation of the current corrupted state of feminism that has latched on to her. This is not to say that the truly progressive women who are gaining real ground in America are in that class, but just that the hollow Clinton campaign has attracted the shallowest elements of a strong and noble tradition.
I would add to it the sad and sorry state of TV female journalism, where miniskirts and swirling hairdos are de rigueur and deep research a forgotten art. The whining women who Paglia descries have thoroughly degraded her credibility, this on top of her unstable and puzzling behavior which has no good ring about it at any given occasion. Obama's calm demeanour and reluctance to drop into the mud makes him the most attractive presidential candidate since Bobby kennedy.
Camille Paglia continues to write honest, helpful prose that gets to the heart of the matter. Bravo.

Do I still hear the rabid chirp of a little looney bird?
A shrill chirp to be sure.

Hillary's obsession
Couldn't agree with the headline more. I would love to be able to vote for an experienced and qualified woman for president -- but Mrs. Clinton is neither. She constantly touts her "35 years of experience", well, then, I guess anybody who is 60 years old and has been out of school for 35 years could claim that! Mike Huckabee put it best the other day when he said "I was in the delivery room when my child was born, but I'd be risking my life if I tried to tell my wife I was now experienced at childbirth". The very thought of Mrs. Clinton answering that 3 AM phone call fills me with terror, and handing her the keys to the massive bureaucry that is the U.S. Government is like taking somebody who has worked at Circuit City and appointing her CEO of Microsoft. Geraldine Ferraro recently said Barack Obama is "only where he is because he's black" -- well, Mrs. Clinton is only where SHE is because she's the wife of a popular former president! Do you really think Mrs. Clinton would even be a U.S. Senator today if not for that? I love to see women succeed in this male-controlled and dominated world, but I do not think getting there on the coattails of your husband is anything to be proud of. Sen. Obama may be as inexperienced as Mrs. Clinton, but at least he's not a Bush, and he's not Hillary Clinton. Enough of the family "dynasties" already!

Blindly hitting the target
As a former Philadelphian and observer of Camille's early career I know she is a jackass, but she is turning into a curmudgeonly appealing jackass. Dead wrong about Hillary -- you know your head is in the toilet when you use Rush as a source, for god's sake -- but so very right about Americans and sexuality. Women with real breasts look odd in photos these days because we have become so desensitized by years of fake boobs. And then there is Paris Hilton and her droopy eye -- don't get me started. Like Frank Rizzo before her, the Great Philadelphia Jackasses have a place in my heart! Rave on, Camille!

Professor Paglia's Subconscious Subtext
A President of the United States must be cool and self possessed, someone with savoir faire, someone who can command his general to take out a monster, say, Qaddaffi, and then hit the hay, confident that the Air Force will do the job. Camille Paglia HOPES that young Obama will be another Reagan, but this is like saying that she hopes the Democrat Party will turn into the Republican Party.
Let's cut to the chase: The most patriotic and useful thing Professor Paglia can do is to join the Ronald Reagan wing of the Republican Party. Then she wouldn't have to go through these long contorted dissertations that end up proving that her current political party is an absurd, extra Constitutional operation.

Nobody but you is surprised by this
"I am very unsettled by tactical voting -- that is, using one's vote as a stratagem in what Rush describes as "gamesmanship": "It's all about winning," he has repeatedly said to callers protesting the Hillary stunt. But hasn't Rush's massive appeal always been based on his adherence to core principles rather than to narrow partisanship?"
Rush Limbaugh has always been a partisan hack and you are giving his audience far too much credit. They don't care about principles, they just enjoy listening to him trash people and he's quite happy to pander to them.

Rushing PA
Obama has radio ads in PA requesting that Republicans change party for the primary and then vote for Obama.

Hillary
Hillary is where is she because she stuck with a serial philanderer. Self-respecting women would have dumped a husband like Bill unless they thought they had something to gain by staying. And when I see the two Clintons smooching and holding hands for the camera I want to retch. So let's get over the notion that Hillary speaks for women. She is simply part of a machine that she never could have created alone.

Rush and Camille
"they [and I] just enjoy listening to" Rush, reading Camille, and watching the wrecks in car races.

zenhead sed:
"If a "redo" is done in those two states, the criteria should be: we will start with the previous tallies. Those people voted once. They will not be able to vote a second time."
That makes so much sense.
"Zenhead in '08!"

Actually
Calling women names and accusing them of irrationality is just ignorant and not deserving of respect.
Actually, I never call women names. Describe them maybe. AS for calling someone irrational, again, if they are irrational, call it out. It is not like others do not pull the same things on me.
I lost respect for the left and for feminists a long, long time ago. I tried to reconcile this by describing my explicating my positions. All I get in return is ad hominems. Which supports my initial disgust with the left and with feminists that they care not a whit what any person like me thinks. Which invalidates their position. Game, set, match.
