  • Madonna can reinvent herself a million times but Hillary cannot??

Come on, Camille, when are you going to give us a psycho family

analysis of Madonna to match the brilliance of your take on

    the Clintons.

Your insight is so profound I've had to dust off my orgone box.

  • The Pagilia Train Wreck

Whether I agree with who you target or not, You are a mess. Illogic and mean spirit combine for annoying screed. I have no idea why anyone looks at this crap as anything but the preening of an egotistical has been.

  • psycho babble from the left..

I found this article to be offensive---all the "inside" knowledge of how Hillary's mind works..her family upbringing... posh.

I would -and will be- more comfortable when we start looking at positions and plans for implementing those proposals for each of the candidates.

So far, all we look at is style.

I too, will vote for whomever the Dems nominate..and at this point I am not sure who I would vote for given a choice.

  • ALL OF THIS KNOWLEDGE AND .......

Knowing what you know about Hillary Clinton and you are still likely to vote for her? There were more than 45 individuals and businesses affiliated with the Clintons who were convicted or pled guilty to crimes. While she was First lady there were more than 30 who were convicted.More than 60 were indicted or charged with misdemeanors. More than 120 congressional witnesses called to testify in cases where she and her husband were implicated...pled the fifth ammendment or fled the country. Crimes of drug trafficking, racketeering, extortion, perjury, kickbacks, embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion, illegal gifts, fraudulent loans, money laundering and obstruction of justice all went by the board to protect her and her husband form prosecution.

This woman is in favor of late term abortions which is out right murder in the eyes of MOST people whether Republican or Democrat.

And you say you will vote for her if she is the nominee because you want to put Democrats in congress?

You sir are as sick as she is.

  • When you vote for Obama

    Camille:

When you vote for Obama in the primary, keep in mind you may be delivering the GOP the perfect target for their attack machine should Obama become the nominee.

Have you considered why Republican wonks sing Obama's praises?

Even a cursory look at his voting record in the Illinois legislature would point to the reasons why the GOP wants to run against him:

He voted AGAINST providing a doctor's care for premature fetuses who survive abortion.

He voted AGAINST the death penalty for Gang Members who commit murder as an initiation test for joining a gang.

He voted AGAINST people being allowed to use automatic weapons to defend their homes against criminals who break in.

I can see the GOP anti-Obama ads now. They practically write themselves.

And they'll be driving busloads of religious right extremists to vote against the baby-killing-gang-banger-loving-anti-right-to-bear-arms Democratic candidate you helped nominate: Barack Obama.

Please try to overcome your issues with the Clintons before you help put another Republican in the Oval Office.

    Wake. Up.

  • typical woman-hating-woman BS

C'mon Camille. Can't you get past junior high school? Your ranting and raving about Hillary Clinton is an unwelcome reminder of all the "clique-ie" girls in high school who made catty comments about other girls. You apparently stopped developing emotionally at about age 15.

Your remark that the Clintons' "actual political accomplishments are fairly slight" shows just how pathetic your arguments are and how blinded you are by your hatred of the Clintons. You can't even acknowledge the most basic of facts regarding the Clinton presidency: $237 billion federal surplus -- largest in history, balanced the budget, cut the deficit by billions of dollars, expanded the earned income tax credit, bolstering the longest period of economic growth in US history, reduced the poverty rate by 3+%, created 22.5 million jobs and had the lowest unemployment rate in over 30 years, not to mention completely overhauling the DNC. Any politician worth his/her salt would love to be able to claim these accomplishments during their presidency.

Why don't you just take your poison pen and go away?

  • I know I'm not supposed to agree with Paglia

because I grew up in Berkeley and I'm a sensitive liberal guy and all that, but wow, reading this article was a breath of fresh air, and reading all the hysterical reactions to it makes me feel like I'm from another planet. Am I sexist for thinking that the Clintons' behavior in the past week is something Democrats should be deeply concerned about? The real issue is that the Republican party has ruined this country so thoroughly that there's a good chance that even the electorate has noticed, so it's imperative that we seize the moment and work to get a Democrat in the White House. Given these stakes, how can the Clintons can be so solipsistic and vitriolic, attacking Obama much harder than they've been attacking Bush? If they were so concerned about experience, why didn't they try to convince Gore to run, or throw their support behind Biden? Hillary attacking Obama for being politically expedient and having an inconsistent voting record is the pot calling the kettle half-black. There are a lot of qualified female politicians that will become viable candidates in the next decade. Wouldn't you rather wait for one of them and award the honor of First Woman President to someone who isn't setting the cause of women back 50 years by using neediness to get elected? Shouldn't we be talking about Iraq and the economy and the environment and making sure our voting machines work and safeguarding against Republican dirty tricks instead of reenacting these 1980s graduate school arguments about identity politics? Hillary is going off the deep end -- and if we end up having to vote for her this November, which I hope to God we don't, we can't encourage her to go down this road by making this a race about some facile idea of gender issues instead of the very real future of our country.

  • wow

I've been reading for 5 minutes in this thread and already I've seen the words "cunt, witch, bitch, old, has been, go away, stop writing, nobody cares...."

Nice readers here. Just because you disagree with Paglia, does it mean you have to shout like a little schoolyard punk?
