Hillary bashing by jealous Camille
We could all write volumes about the complex psychology of why so many people have a driving need to bash Hillary, but Camille's latest bash is just too transparent to ignore. I think we're getting far more insight into your own s**t than we want, Camille. Seems to me that Hillary may just be too smart, too tough and too effective for your liking -- the smarter, more powerful, more successful sister if you like. You "doth protest too much," like so many in the press and politics. The idea that Barack Obama who has essentially no substance that we are yet aware of is qualified to be president borders on the ludicrous. Better John McCain any day.
But Hillary will win in the end and all this gnashing of teeth in the press will help her, as it did in New Hampshire.

Is Ms. Paglia a Psychoanalyst, or a "social critic" with an education in something other than?
Seriously...this article is hilarious.
Ms. Paglia, I looked up your biography; Elise Sutton (a dominatrix) describes you as a "female supremacist" and a friend.
Interesting take on Hillary then, basically calling her a man-hater.
Are you looking at Hillary and seeing yourself reflected in her?
Another take on Hillary's standing by Bill, could be seen in "A Woman In Charge" by Carl Bernstein. Hillary's father humiliate her mother, but there was still a "love" that transcended the home, and while her father was cantankerous, emotionally distant, her mother stayed with him...as that is what marriage is about, for better or worse.
Maybe Hillary stayed with Bill because she loves him...
Hillary is intelligent, strong, logical, and there is not one trait that demonstrates her willingness to lie, cheat or steal.
Seriously, leave the psychoanalysis to the professionals, Camille.

Add me to the chorus to get rid of Paglia
I've read 4 or 5 of these Paglia columns, but this is the first time I've read the comments section, and I can only say that I wish I had done it sooner. The knowledge that I was not alone in finding Paglia so breathtakingly out of touch would have saved me countless hours of inward seething.
Much has been made in these comments about Paglia's use of the word "feminazi" and to that I would add that it's astonishing that someone could use that phrase, presumably aware of its origins, and then say the following just a few paragraphs later:
Hillary would go right on spewing the bitterly partisan rhetoric that has already paralyzed Washington.
Of course, this is a "pundit" who still clings to the myth of the "liberal media", so perhaps I expect too much.
But Jesus Christ, Salon.

Catfight
Jeeze, Camille, you wasted five pages of scratch and claw when all you had to say was you don't like Hillary. I admit, I only read the first two, and wondered if Malkin had snuck in as a ghost writer at Salon. Then I realized she's much nicer than this. On the other hand, I see you are a college professor so the egomania isn't all that surprising.

Hillary without tears
Perhaps it is time to close the book on Camille Paglia. How would she survive the kind of arm chair pychoanalysis she gives Hillary? For all her faults I prefer Hillary to the negative bile of Camille. And all of us progressives feel the same way, so why do we need her to tell us her fears? How about some news instead of opinions informed by negativity?

Oh my.....
Simmer down, dear, you'll give yourself a stroke. What could inspire such derision? I'm guessing pure jealousy that Bill Clinton never made a pass at you, you ugly, bitter hag.
(I feel free to make whatever nonsensical, personal insult against you comes to my mind given the completely unprincipled personal attacks in your article.)

Cult Figure
I've never understood the cult of the Sacred Monster, especially one posing as a public intellectual.
Camille Paglia strikes me as performance art and a bad case of the Emperor's New Clothes. No one wants to say, not that the Emperor is naked, but that the clothes are in appalling taste.
At least, however, I've gotten a good example of what Ortega y Gasset referred to as "penitential art."
Now that I've seen it, can someone please archive it, then lose the archive? Ms. Paglia's polemics and hatemongering have been given more bandwidth than they deserve for entirely too long. And amateur psychotherapy is irresponsible from anyone, even culturally exempt sacred monsters.

Obama - style over substance
":DIRTY TRICKS WERE MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN WERE TEARS FOR CLINTON
The media has failed to report on the true phenomena that motivated NH women to vote for the junior Senator from New York. The sad reality is that Hillary Clinton benefitted from a dirty trick campaign when her staff sent out a flyer and made followup phone calls deliberately distorting the pro-choice record of Barack Obama.
Also, the media has blindly accepted Hillary Clinton's claim of 35 years experience as though all of one's world experiences since high school prepare one for the Oval Office. The media should be doing the kind of investigative journalism that such a claim mandates.
The voters should be asking themselve why is Hillary Clinton's experience as a community organizer relevant but not Barack Obama's. Why is Hillary Clinton's volunteer work on behalf of children praiseworthy but not Barack Obama's comparable efforts?"
Why is Obama's identical voting record to Hillary's not spoken about, considering Obama is an element of "change"?
Was Obama's record being distorted when he made several appearances with a gay homo-bashing black singer? Or was that really Obama's viewpoint, considering he didn't distance himself from him, even after called on it?
Why is there no true official record of Obama's feelings towards the war in Iraq? He had the safe ability to condemn the war, without voting for it (notice what city he lives in...a vast Democratic stronghold..of COURSE he would verbally disagree with the war), however when the important Iran Resolution was to be voted on, he DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP, then criticized Hillary for taking a particularly controversial (not cowardly) stand.
I find this obama hoopla much ado about nothing. - former chicagoan

Well written Camille
If Anyone has read extensively about Hillary R.Clinton's life, then they would KNOW, that C.P. is spot on in her article. It
truly shows the woman's psychological core, as we have watched and heard her reactions for many years now. It is fact, if one
'happens to know any of the Whitehouse staffers' that have had interactions with Hillary. Camille is NOT far off with her article on Hillary, as the woman would DO and SAY ANYTHING TO GET BACK INTO THE WHITEHOUSE, AND THE DIFFERENCE THIS TIME, IS THAT SHE WILL BE IN THE 'DRIVER'S SEAT'. I personally believe that IF she does NOT make it, she and Bill will divorce.
If one does NOT think Camille is right on here, then I would suggest you look in on: 1984ArkansasMotherOfTheYear.com
Also you can go to: GoogleVideo-Obstruction of Justice-The Mena
Connection. BTW, the author has his OWN phone # listed for any
who would like to verify. Hillary's disdain for the military,
is fact, and her political ambitions have always been the base
of her 'fake marriage' to Bill. He was to be first to lead, and SHE would get her chance. The 'tears on cue', were quite easy for her-Bill taught her well as he did to get sympathy-
These two Cons have fooled many, used them for $$$ then discard
them either throwing them aside, either to jail OR death. Read the above info and see for yourself.
