No where in the dominant media culture i.e. ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,PBS,
NPR,MSNBC,NY TIMES,LA TIMES,WASH POST et al will you find this kind of positive article on the war in Iraq. It's an honest
assessment of the reality of our involvement and why we are really there which the left will never understand. Thank God for
folks like Professor Paglia. GLW Erie,Pa.

Editorial Double Standard? Or Confusion?
Dear Editors:
Here's what I don't understand. You give red stars to letters in this section which call for Paglia to fact-check. Hello? Shouldn't Salon editors be doing that BEFORE you publish the monthly Paglian pablum? Giving these letters a red star certainly means you KNOW you are publishing "bunk" here. Why waste our time with it? Do we need to get Media Matters involved, perhaps, to sort out the misinformation that Paglia circulates via Salon? What will it take for you to take responsibility?
Here's another thing I don't understand: why is it more important for you to attract conservative readers with this monthly drivel than keep loyal former Premium subscribers?
For those of you who think it's the "ad revenue," think again. No advertiser thinks it's great to advertise on here. There are too few readers, especially now (look at the dropoff in response to Paglia compared to the beginning, for example). Salon doesn't make that much from their ads. And the ads never stick--I've read Salon for years and I can't even name one sponsor off the top of my head.
Please respond, Editors. I look forward to hearing a response, or better yet, some definitive action...

Saddam and WMD
Lets supposes that you were Saddam.
Lets suppose that you have all the money that you can possible need for your war machine. Furthermore, you hate Israel,Kawait, Iran and of course the United States.
Would you or would you not have purchased every possible attainable WMD?
Where are they, who knows, maybe in Iran maybe in Syria.We haven't been invited to look around in Syria or Iran, have we?
Remember that prior to our invasion the French/UN gave the guy a headsup and plenty of time to hide his WMD.

I love that letter reading the exact words Bush used to go to war, it is a long-term war, he didn't say we would win in days like the crazy lefties have said, if this war is so Awful how come the lefties want us out of THERE BEFORE SEPTEMBER, why cause they know they will lose and lose big if the war is the issue at election time, just the opposite of their lies now......after crazy carter who stuck a fork in the shah and gave our futures to the radical killing mullahs, and after the impeached felon, (note I love the writers that just say Clinton did consenting adults and no one was hurt, ARE YOU CRAZY, DOES IT BOTHER NO ONE BUT ME THAT THIS PIG ONLY DID THE HELP) unlike JFK, and I guess all these liberals that think Clinton was not having sex, I guess your wives don't mind a secretary or two servicing you now and then, RIGHT, you liberal men have been castrated and you know it....this war is WWIII and as long as they want to kill us for not believing in their religion is AS LONG AS IT LASTS.

You guys should be locked in a room and watch and rewatch those tapes of those planes killing thousands on 9/11, now picture it with nukes and once again, send a letter thanking Bush and Cheney for protecting your tails, after all the Constitution says that is HIS ONLY JOB AND HE HAS DONE IT MAGNIFICENTLY......and one more thing, the first tradecenter bombing was 92, Clinton was busy with other things and they regrouped and blew us up 6 months after he left AND IT WAS BUSH'S FAULT, you guys are the crazy ones and YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH MY FAMILY'S SECURITY, CAUSE YOU DON'T EVEN SEE THE DANGER.....
