More sound and fury from the idiot Paglia
Paglia:
Stop talking about your "fellow Democrats." You are NOT a Democrat and you NEVER have been. You are a right-wing, Limbaugh-loving, FOX-News-believing, liberals-and-gays-and-feminists-hating DITTOHEAD! Only a disciple of the far right would say this: "I just don't see convincing evidence of an impeachable offense by either him [Cheney] or George Bush." And yet you screamed bloody murder about Bill Clinton getting into an adulterous sexual relationship with a consenting adult and demanded that he resign. Clinton's lies killed NO ONE and destroyed NO ONE'S life or career. The same cannot be said for your hero George W -- and don't fucking pretend that he isn't your hero!
Jesus, woman! Have you NO SHAME WHATSOEVER?!?
Eric Meyer

No one reads Paglia
Why do you let the Man Coulter of the liberal set even post one noun? I didn't read one word because she has nothing to say, new or otherwise.

Click-Porn, Courtesy of Joan's Favorite Pageview-Ho
Fess up, Joan.
You're just running this inflammatory, illogical, poorly written crap by the Wingnut's Favorite Stealth Weapon just for the page views and ad revenue?
You figure that if you throw more crap that will stir up the hoi polloi, you'll get more money in the coffers, eh?
Camille's clearly a fake liberal, as everyone knows.
But Joan, your liberal street cred is fading fast if you keep publishing this, and paying for it.
If you want to be responsible for the dissemination of this sort of reprehensible garbage, then go be a blogger for Little Green Footballs, or producer for Bill O'Reilly, and find us an editor at Salon who CARES.
I am utterly disappointed in you and Salon.
Feh.
-
Where's the Midol?
Anything to get rid of this monthly annoyance.
-
Come on...
I'll ask the Salon editors once again to stop using money that should be spent on interesting news and commentary to fund Paglia's pointless 'idiosyncratic' commentary.
Paglia's self-enamorment is something to behold.
-
8 pages of inanity?
I opened the first page of the article only so I could express derision at at Salon for providing a forum for Ms. Paglia's inane ramblings. I did happen to notice that are eight pages of text. Eight pages? It's not worth reading a single paragraph of her self-important drivel. Is there a single Salon reader who takes her seriously enough to choke through eight pages of crap.
-
Strike three
OK Salon - I'm going to waste one more letter on this subject. You've allowed this woman to use your pages three times now to make un-challenged, un-supported, and now potentially libelous allegations about Al Gore and an extraordinarily united body of scientific opinion regarding global warming. The BBC has an article on its front (web) page right this moment about scientists eliminating the sun as a culprit. Here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6290228.stm
You can follow that to any number of articles on the Beeb over the last couple of years, and the ones with science all agree, vociferously and with great alarm and humanity towards the consequences.
If you're going to propose yourself as a principled and clear-thinking alternative to mainstream American crap media - and with Blumenthal, Greenwald and Grieve, among others, I truly believe you are - it's time you stepped in and provided some content to the Paglia husk.
In case you missed it: ".....propaganda.....grab-bag Gore crusade.....wild exaggerations.....hypocritical sanctimony....." And: "Environmentalism is of vital importance to our future, but it cannot be based on lies."
"Lies."
You can either shore her up or chop her down (with facts would be nice). But until you do something - them's fighting words, and a mirror unto her soul, and potentially yours.
-
Excuse me?
"Environmentalism is of vital importance to our future, but it cannot be based on lies."
Please explain this comment? Al Gore's information has been clearly backed up by scientists and yet please explain where he is lying. If you cannot, then please stop writing about the environment. This "Mars is warming" stuff simply has to stop. There is a scientific consensus about the issue, if anyone believes otherwise, they are simply out of the mainstream. Please stop having people write things that are neither true nor within mainstream scientific consensus.

Paglia
is a contrarian. She seems to live to go against conventional liberal thought.
Good for her, but her detachment from reality and Salon.com's insistence on printing her drivel (and pay her handsomely for this crap) are a couple of reasons I have decided not to renew my premium subscription.
She and Nader deserve each other.
-
Dear Joan,
Wow! Seven pages of Camille answering the geopolitical challenged with her special brand of intellectually constipated woohoo.
Joan, if I send you every bad letter I’ve ever written to a wing-nut will you publish them for me? Also, do you pay by the word because I got a lot of them.
-
Paglia shill work again
You post a letter by someone who says that this administration is better than the last one becasue the last one were liars. What a hoot. You can't fool us anymore with your shill work Camile. The Bush administration hands down has made lying to an art form. Lying about a blowjob? Thats the lie that has everyone in an uproar. Camile go away please go away. Tell Salon you want to leave please.

Can't we just have dental surgery instead of Paglia?
More self-aggrandizing garbage from Paglia-turned-Gloria Swanson. Just say it, Camille: "I am big. It's the news shows that got small." Jesus help us.
And then there's the "rumor" about Camille being courted by David Bowie. Yes, sure, Camille, we've all been wondering about that, biting our nails for more than 10 years. And, please, continue your blather about theory you obviously have never read in depth, being too preoccupied with your cherry-picked and superficial readings of Freud and Jung.
Camille Paglia continues to degenerate into a cartoon. Did you catch the quotes in the London Times from her? It seems that the Virginia Tech shootings are the result of emasculation of the American male. Unable to go work on a freighter, men shoot people instead. I'm serious. She actually said that.
There is great value in having a provocateur around, but Camille has nothing new to say. She doesn't seem to have learned a thing in the last 10 years, and -- while she deplores the narcissism of the culture, she remains one of its proudest exemplars.
But Joan adores her, I guess.
