Out of great suffering comes beauty
Saginaw, Mich., might be sagging but we can admire it for producing poet and teacher Theodore Roethke, and for preserving his boyhood home.

    The only thing I ever learned

    Was called the Golden Rhule,—

    But that’s enough for any man

    What’s not a proper fool.
