UT is Unclaimed Territory, Glenn Greenwald's blog. The regulars that comment there spin the Zioclowns like a top. The Zioclowns always end up running off whining with their tails between their legs, crying antisemitism, and in Wallaby's case, threatening to "get the law involved", only to come back as hate filled as ever, posting their bigoted ideology and half-truth propaganda talking points in articles such as this one.
Imagine Israel's supporters being honest
But then they would be betraying their Mossad puppet masters whose motto is "By way of Deception, thou shalt do war."
Whatever point you want to make about Israel's merciless pounding of Gaza, please leave Ireland out of it as you are talking through your nether orifice.
I knew you'd pop in.
The only statement I made was that the IRA didn't launch rocket attacks from civilian compounds, like schools and hospitals. Do you disagree with this? Can you answer that simple question without a irrelevant rambling, barely coherent rant designed to show your superior knowledge of, well, everything?
I never said I admired the IRA or anything of the sort. Get over yourself.
spoken in Belgium, while Flemish is spoken closer to the Dutch border. "Where ignorance is bliss tis folly to be wise" and I know that I shouldn't react at all to that gruesome gremlin, LUA.
"Imagine what Palestinians could do for themselves...the above measures would have improved the existence of individual Palestinians. So why haven't they been done?"
Why were Jews chased from most lands they inhabited? Why didn't they "get along" with others? Why didn't THEY "improve their existence" in the past? And why don't Israelis get along with others now?
Why didn't Jews resist the Nazis? Is that what REALLY fuels the current viciousness toward Arabs...that they DO resist? Arab steadfastness shames Jews who remember how meekly they went to their own deaths 70 years ago. It makes psychological sense: The abused worker kicks the dog, not her boss. That's why Israel will never fight Germans or Russians, only weaker "enemies" who remind it of Jews' historical weakness.
Again, the kicker is that Jews, who claim to be eternal victims, now victimize others. In doing so they forfeit sympathy. They're now just brutes, like so many others. The past sufferings of Jews means nothing when the Jewish State enjoys killing so much.
of Gary Kamiya's article, that we have long seen (and still do see) Israel through the rose-colored glasses of myth and legend and blind loyalty, I'd like to suggest that his basic ideas about our unflaging, unthinking, all-the-time, every time knee-jerk support of Israel are not only correct, but are also presented in a well organized, well written summary of a pretty darned complex set of circumstances.
Myth. Legend. Romance. I mean, who among us does not sometimes think of Israel playing the role of David (as in David and Goliath)? Who doesn't think of the fledgling state of Israel in the 1950's without seeing Paul Newman and Eva Marie Saint in heroic poses against a desert backdrop, while the twin pianos of Ferrante and Teicher blast out the "Theme from Exodus?"
The one idea that Kamiya mentions that especially resonates with me, which I don't often hear mentioned and almost never see in print, is that to question or to criticize Israel is to open oneself to charges of anti-semitism. I think there's a lot of truth in this observation, since I've sometimes been reluctant to say what I think about how Israel has treated its neighbors in, say, the past forty years, for exactly this reason.
It's one thing to defend yourself from acts of terrorism. It's another thing to wall up people into ghettos and punish them indefinately with embargos and sanctions and an ever-present threat of almost unimaginable violence until they have no choice but to fight back. It's one thing to to protect yourself and another thing altogether to murder your neighbor while claiming to be a victim.
If there is an end, someday, to this seemingly endless tale of violence and war, it seems that it is a long way off.
Anyway, Good job Gary. A person has to sort all this history and hatred and myth out and articulate it, if possible, even though millions of people will disagree with our individual final take on the whole deal. And that takes guts as well as smarts.
The "innocent civilians" that Israel has tried not to kill, but Hamas has put in the line of fire, may well be future rocketeers, suicide bombers, and kidnappers. Radical fundamentalist Islam teaches hate, violence, and the glory of death to children from day one. That is a travesty, but hardly the fault of Israel or of any rational society. We confuse religious tolerance with tolerance of the intolerable cloaked in religion.
In Israelās liberal, modern society, females freely attend schools, hold jobs, appear in public without wearing sacks or being guarded by sadistic men, and are not beaten or stoned. Israelis are not suicide bombers, do not preach martyrdom, hijack planes, kidnap civilians, or use God as a rationalization for exercising dimwitted sadism. Israel's legal system is generally based on secular western principles, not Sharia law as interpreted by religious lunatics. If you were to choose between a world run by Israelis or Hamas/Palestinians/Hezbollah/Mullahs and their supporters, which would be the smart choice?
Now is the time to prosecute an all out war on radical fundamentalist Islam and all violent religious irrationality. The world would be far more peaceful, and the average IQ would increase. (There are no Muslim countries in the top 40 IQ nations in the world.)
that a friend of mine visiting her brother in London had to endure months of skin-grafts in a British hospital because the Provos had planted a bomb in a litter-bin on a railway platform.
Sorry for the semi-coherence and that it has offended your delicate sensibilities. You are undoubtedly an admirer of the literary gifts of Jonny in Tel Aviv, Wallaby and the execrable Liberal uber alles. Perhaps you've told them off for their ranting but I wouldn't waste my breath on you; I'll keep it to cool my porridge. You've shown your colours and you're neither a renegade nor an iconoclast - just a regular pipsqueak wearing white and blue. Exult in the daring deeds of your Israeli army.
