The Israel rules

America's support of the Gaza attack proves once again that our mythical image of Israel has blinded us to its faults -- a myopia with devastating consequences for both countries.

    Imagine

Imagine that Indian people were becoming the majority in America, that their objective (stated explicitly by their authorities) is America's elimination (and to send American people "to the sea") and home-made rockets were launched from Indian reservations (although they *only* kill dozens of people).

A lot of people in Salon would be screaming with rage, asking the American government to respond.

It is easy to have this moral rectitude when you are not living with the fear that a rocket destroys your house and your life or that your nation disappears in a few generations.

This is not to say that Israel is good and Palestine is bad. This is not my point (and the Middle East problem is too complicated to treat it with some few lines). My point is that it's easy to pretend to have the moral high ground when one lives in a peaceful country. It's hypocritical to tell other people that they have to endure rocket attacks while the most dangerous thing one is willing to endure is that one's cup of Starbucks coffee spills on one's lap.

To the people that agree with this article, I recommend them to leave their homes and give them to Indian people. They were the originals inhabitants of this continent and America is created out of a genocide and the oppression of native people(like Israel, only much worse). So you must pay for the sins of your ancestors and you don't have any right to exist.
