The Israel rules

America's support of the Gaza attack proves once again that our mythical image of Israel has blinded us to its faults -- a myopia with devastating consequences for both countries.

    Interesting Washington Post Article

John Boltson, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. had an interesting opinion piece published in the Washington Post on Monday. Essentially he is advocating that the whole of Gaza be returned to Egyptian control. He states the Palesinitan leadership (the PA and Hammas) has failed and been either unwilling or incapable of protecting their people or stabilizing the region. He argues that the only way to stabilize and grow Gaza's economy would be for Egypt to take a larger role. I would like to see this idea floated around. Sure would take care of the issue of a contiguous Palestinian state. He also argues Palestinian portions the West Bank be returned to Jordan. The only problem is Egypt and Jordan don't want to have anything to do with the Palestinians.
