I've got to agree with your post, from reading the comments it seems like a lot of people are over-reacting to Mr. Kamiya's article and flat out missing the point. For all those complaining about sexism why don't you watch an episode of Gossip Girl, notice how all women are depicted as text crazy, fashion obsessed, like, like total fluzies -and notice friends how eerily similar that is to our young, entitled women of today. What the GOP has done, as Mr. Kamiya states, is tapped into the reptilian, primitive stupidity of the Human psyche, and wake-up animals! it is working.

Already McCain is peeling off former Hillary supporters just because he has offered up a woman to vote for, and men with very little going for then are walking around saying Palin is hot. The GOP base is all excited because a gun-toting, sassy hillbilly is now their V.P. nominee. And here, on Salon.com, all we get is a bunch of supposed Liberals complaining about a photoshopped image. It is just as sexist for a woman to vote for a woman because she is a woman as it is for a man to notice that a woman is a woman. If that is how you feel about her, keep it to yourself. This is a blatantly sexist article that never would have been written about a male politician. It trivializes her accomplishments in being the young governor of a small state and a working mother. It also underestimates her political skill. She may be corrupt, she is bad on women's issues, and she is more of the same, but please treat her as you would a male politician.
