    Queen of Pain

I'm not allowed to email any more articles about Palin to my daughter in Canada, because they are "too upsetting." All I can say is, kid, you're all nice and safe up there with universal medical care and a strong dollar, and we are here, having to face the possibility of Sarah Baracuda a heartbeat away... I used to have a lot of faith in The People (back when I voted for Kennedy, Carter, McCarthy, McGovern... and Clinton (oh, Bill, where are you now?) but then I was brought up by real Roosevelt/Truman Liberals, who lived through the Depression and WWII. But I can't believe in The People any more. They elected Dubya twice. He never got any smarter, or more compassionate, or more in touch with the country in 8 long years. And the Republicans love it! Apparently, raping the land and robbing the workers is okay, if they can continue to shoot wolves from aircraft, line their pockets and lie to the citizenry. My head's going to explode!
