The dominatrix

Sarah Palin is trying to seduce independent voters. But she comes across like a whip-wielding mistress who wants to discipline a naughty America.

    rocket999:

I am bewildered by a number of assertions in your most recent post & I feel that I must reply, if, for no other reason, in the interest of clarity.

The first sentence of your post reads, "UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ENEMY AT YOUR OWN PERIL." But for the life of me, I cannot figure out exactly which of my statements you have interpreted as indicating that I am underestimating the enemy.

Was it was my statement that,

". . . [Palin] & her feeble-minded ilk present the SINGLE MOST TERRIFYING THREAT POSED TODAY TO THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY & to the rights, privileges & freedoms currently taken for granted by America's asleep-at-the-wheel citizenry"?

Might it have been the sentence which read, in part,

". . . [her] opinions . . . will be employed by Palin and her fellow Christian pinheads in SINGLE-MINDED PURSUIT OF THE RECASTING OF AMERICA AS A CHRISTIAN THEOCRACY"?

Or perhaps it was my assertion that,

"The time has arrived to WAKE THE FUCK UP & FIGHT THE THEOCRACY, BEFORE THE KOOL-AID DRINKERS ARE IN CONTROL OF EVERY ASPECT OF OUR EXISTENCE."

Your second sentence reads, "You might disagree with Palin, but she's not a 'nitwit.'"

Au contraire. She is most assuredly a nitwit. In fact, as far as I can see, she exhibits all the qualities of a gold-star nitwit.

Gov. Palin resides in the wealthiest nation on earth. She enjoys, as do the majority of Americans today, unfettered access to the very best information current research has to offer in the areas of technology, science, medicine, astronomy, etc. And still she subscribes to flagrantly irrational ancient myths & superstitions, beliefs for which she cannot provide even the smallest shred of evidence.

Six thousand year old universe? Check! Virgin birth? Check! Resurrection? Check! The Rapture? Check!

You state that Palin has a "faith-based world view that might seem totally illogical to . . . you."

No, her world view does not "seem" totally illogical to me. Her world view IS totally illogical & altogether ludicrous; her religious beliefs ARE nothing short of absurd. And it's time that the non-believers among us stop pretending otherwise.

Another of your statements read, ". . . she's a adult who has clearly taken charge of her own life. SHE'S NOT A SHEEP OR A BLIND FOLLOWER."

Try as I might, I simply could not discern any hint of satire or irony in that statement, and so I find myself in the position of having nothing else to say except . . .

ARE YOU HIGH? SHE IS AN EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN!!! SHE IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF "SHEEP!" Hello? Do I need to reiterate the list of her most passionately cherished beliefs? Virgin birth? Rapture? Resurrection? Ring a bell?

There is not a single tenet of the Christian faith that can withstand even the most perfunctory scrutiny. The Bible is a crapfest, a steaming pile of ridiculous nonsense, perpretrated upon the none-too-bright by those who are adept at exploiting fear of eternal damnation to enslave the gullible.

Palin is absolutely a sheep, a blind follower, who has exchanged critical thinking skills for the less intellectually rigorous activity of unquestioning adherence to religious mumbo jumbo, served up by the powerful in service of their own best intersts.

As I said in my prior post, were Sarah Palin a garden-variety nitwit, an ordinary sheep, most of us would have little to fear from her. Unfortunately, such is not the case.

For in addition to being a sheep & a nitwit, Gov. Palin is also cunning & ambitious. I believe you alluded to this notion in one of your posts when you wrote that she is "politically savvy." She is, indeed, politically savvy, which is one of the qualities that makes her so dangerous.

Finally, in your original post, you stated that, "You don't have to like Palin, but you do have to respect her."

Actually, I don't. I may have to co-exist with her, but I don't have to respect her -- nor do I. She and her kind are boneheaded clucks, albeit dangerous boneheaded clucks who pose an alarming, tangible threat to the way of life currently enjoyed by America's citizens.
