The dominatrix

Sarah Palin is trying to seduce independent voters. But she comes across like a whip-wielding mistress who wants to discipline a naughty America.

    have feminists lost their humor?

I know it's an awful, horrible time for feminism right now...reproductive rights hang in the balance by a single supreme court justice, sensibilities are tweaked post impassioned Democratic standoff, and Palin's outrageous claiming of the gender card right along with that glass ceiling with all the cracks in it right from Hillary's unwilling hands is depressing to say the least...but lighten up.

this article made me laugh. If the Democratic party--or women lose our sense of humor--where will we be?

And the writer who mentioned their Republican parents with the dominatrix Hillary and Bill magnets on their refrigerator remind me that if we are going to engage in the culture wars all over again, let's not handicap ourselves. Don't forget Palin's speech was praised for its funny meanness. Meanwhile, McCain is gleefully wielding age, gender and race cards all in his surprisingly vicious Rovian hands, and as a result, I refuse to give up the last card the Democrats still really hold--the humor card...I refuse to give up the right to laugh (hard--preferably after hard drinks)at McCain's campaign strategy, and all of its audaciously unsubtle contempt for the intelligence of voters.

The only offensive thing about this article is how true it is...
