As a sixth-breed Jew (i.e. a New Age fake) I was delighted three years ago to find a site called www.jewfaq.org that listed all the commandments (called mitzvot in Hebrew) that a pious Jew is supposed to live by. There are 613 of them, which explains why with my average memory I could never be an Orthodox Jew even if I wanted to. 20 of the mitzvot struck me as amazingly liberal, but since to list them would weaken my thesis, I’ll follow the “fair and balanced” lead of Fox News (which I’ve never actually watched) and ignore them. 17 of the mitzvot, on the other hand (probably hacked into the site by the satanic geniuses at www.theprotocolsoftheeldersofzion.ru), struck me as...well, National-Christianist, to put it delicately. (Others might favor the term Nazistic, but they are clearly anti-Semites.) The evil mitzvot fall into three categories:

ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DISCRIMINATION

#57: Exact the debt of a goy. (#175: Don’t exact the debt of the [presumably Jewish] bankrupt poor.)

#58: Lend to a goy at interest. (#171: Don’t charge interest to an Israelite.)

#199: Keep the Canaanite slave forever.

SECTARIAN CLEANSING

#322: Don’t lead the children of Israel astray to idolatry.

#324: Destroy idolatry and its appurtenances.

#325: Don’t love the enticer to idolatry.

#326: Don’t give up hating the enticer to idolatry.

#327: Don’t save the enticer [to idolatry] from capital punishment, but stand by at his execution.

#354: Don’t settle idolaters in [Jewish] land.

#355: Slay the inhabitants of a city that has become idolatrous and leave that city.

#356: Don’t rebuild a city that has been led astray to idolatry.

#357: Don’t make use of the property of a city that has been so led astray.

PREEMPTIVE WAR AND GENOCIDE

#353: Don’t make a covenant with the seven [Canaanite? idolatrous?] nations.

#601: Don’t keep alive any individual of the seven Canaanite nations.

#602: Exterminate the seven Canaanite nations from the land of Israel.

#607: Don’t offer peace to the Canaanites and the Moabites before waging war on them, as should be done to other nations.

#613: Destroy the seed of Amalek.

If one goes through the above mitzvot and makes the following 11 substitutions -- “unkraut” for “goy”, “Aryan” for “Jewish”, “German” for “Israelite”, “Germany” for “Israel”, “Israelite” for “Canaanite”, “Judaism” for “idolatry”, “Jew” for “idolater”, “Jewish” for “idolatrous”, “twelve tribes” for “seven nations”, “Europites” for “Moabites”, and “Romany” for “Amelek” (I leave this to the reader as an exercise) -- what one ends up with is the Readers Digest version of Mein Kampf (albeit with some quibbling on mitzvot #355, #356, and #357). Hence the title of my post.

What does this mean? I’ll simply quote from one of the several letters of mine that Salon.com refuses to publish or acknowledge (this one from a year ago):

Obviously I forgot the fifth: the discovery two years ago of the aforementioned evils at the core of (Orthodox) Judaism, a religion to whose milder forms I converted one sixth of my soul in 1994 under Bullshit Mosaicism.
