I Hope
That these commandments will be followed. By all of our elected officials and our media. And if they are not followed, it is our duty as citizens to insure that they are.
I am deeply saddened and ashamed of our nation's behavior over the past seven years. Saddened and ashamed, because we are capable of so much more, such better actions.
We sent men to the moon. We invented the internet. We made a collective effort to wipe out polio through the March of Dimes. I'd like it if we could be that America again. The America that helps to foster a greater world through cooperation and innovation, instead of the America that blows shit up and kills a lot of innocent people.
