Good Article Gary Now Scrutinize Clinton/McCain''s Pastors words.
Gary, I agree in substance with your position that Pastor Wright has the Constitutional right to express his feelings or Opinions, even if others disagree.
Thoses persons that disagree are merely expressing their Opinions, althouth different than his. It's amazing that your and my Opinions are not currently Media fodder.
The Media, hired guns for the "Establishment", Opinionate and Scrutinize all of the Associated Press.s scripts that they air to the Public.
"Tell the Deceptive Media that it's alright to condemn others for expressing Opinions while expressing their own Opinion.
Tell the Media that the Public wishes to hear the Opinions of Senators Clinton and McCains Pastors. Please be as thorough as they were when Mr. Obama's Passport information was compromised. Scrutinize the other two equally. Hell, this is a "One Perspective Fit All Society."

Thanks. That's good to hear. I wanted to know, because the way the disease has exploded into the black community people sometimes forget how it started and that most of America, white and black, was quite relieved to hear that as long as the blood supply was considered 'safe', well, it was just those gay guys dying. Very short-sighted, as I said.
My family was a little different. With a gay sibling who lost many friends to the disease, and who has seen it re-bound in the gay male community among younger men who somehow think they are immune, and a mother who worked for the American Red Cross in the lab and who, over the years, had to tell a lot of very surprised women of all races they were HIV positive after their husbands had been unfaithful, I know what it does, to all citizens.

Thabo Mbeki is an AIDS dissident. Unlike Wright, who believes in HIV causing AIDS, but thinks that the US government invented the disease, Mbeki is in complete denial over the disease even existing.
His main policy has always been founded on his arrogance and surrounding with incompetent lackies. One could just as easily point to his stance on Selebi, to say that Mbeki is an idiot.
Of course, idiocy isn't a racial trait and Obama is a totally different person to both Mbeki and Reverand Wright.
Obama has surrounded himself with competent people of differing ideologies. People who one is confident will say "no" to him if he should be wrong.
Mbeki's chief hires have been based on loyalty rather than competence, which is why the idiotic health minister has managed to keep her job despite her being a kleptomaniac and a drunk. Selebi (AKA: Consorts-with-drug-dealers) has similar protection.
This loyalty to loyalty has a lot more in common with Republican candidates and certain disquieting stories coming out of Hillary's campaign than what has been reported about Obama.

We are too often ignorant or forgetful,
Abraham Lincoln protested the Mexican War by demanding that the President, who had stated in his war message that "Mexican troops have attacked American troops on American soil, show the spot of the attack. Of course, the spot did not exist. It was carried out on Mexican territory that Texas and later the U.S. claimed was ours. Mexico did not cede this territory till after the Mexican War.
I cite numerous "Christian" leaders as found in the Daily Kos.

@ Ricardo Malocchio
Thanks so much for passing on that information, it's really heartening.
I went on a bus tour of black colleges in high school and was disgusted by the vicious homophobia spouted so casually by so many. It just goes to show that black people are every bit as capable of mindless hatred as anyone else.
That Wright, ministering to the demographic he does has been able to not only not offend the gay community, but be a proactive champion of it is an amazing accomplishment and speaks volumes of the man.
I can't imagine such support is not deeply challenging to some, if not most of his congregation.
This goes a long way, as well, to explaining Obama's attraction to the guy.
Yet another tremendously significant and revealing detail that will probably never see the light of day.
God help us all, know-nothing parrots that we've become.

@AnaHadWolves regarding "The Audacity of Hype"
Let me fix your "Audacity of Hype" message and see how you like it when it's turned around? Ready?
The Audacity of Hillary-Suckups
If you examine the agenda, biases and bases of female Democrats who are voting for and speaking for Hillary Clinton so vehemently, I'd posit that the majority of them base their support mostly on gender. Whether or not they'll admit to that is another thing entirely. (And, yes, I know; by even bringing up the issue of gender-based voting, I'll be immediately pilloried as a "sexist"; such is the fate of anyone who dares to question Hillary's big coronation. )
However, when the majority of female votes go to Hillary in several states, where the majority of Democrats are female, you can't tell me that the overwhelming majority of them didn't chose Hillary solely because she is one of them. It's that simple; "she's one of us" was the primary reason for their vote. Competence/experience be damned.
You can perorate, bloviate, pontificate and remonstrate all you wish, the simple truth is that Hillary's support is, for the most part, sexually-based. A few liberal males and latinos notwithstanding, should she be the Democratic nominee, she will lose to McCain and the Democrats will self-flagellate...again...and wonder why they lost.
All the result of the audacity of the Hillary suck-ups...

wright is not a homophobe but......
Obama's hate tour through the American south was sure filled with them:
Reverend Donnie McClurkin who said he's "in a war with homosexuality",
Hezekiah Walker the anti-semitic Pentecostal pastor of Brooklyn mega-church the Love Fellowship Tabernacle,
and Mary Mary (a sister act duo) who have compared gays to murderers and prostitutes.

Bravo!!
Bravo Gary, bravo!!!
(You can't see it but I am giving you a standing ovation)

We need to grow up now
Gary, you really got this right when so many others haven't. Wright's anger has been interpreted as hatred or "racism" but his contraversial sermons are really just truth wrapped in frustration.
Thanks for the article
