Letters to the Editor

By allowing voters to both vent their anger and overcome it, while embodying the transcendence of America's racial wound, Barack Obama offers not just hope, but alchemy.
  • lets leave Salon

Finally one Salonista came up with some pretty interesting thoughts but the response - like most of the letters to some of the other "election" articles are more and more disappointing.

It reminded me on one of the favorite jokes of my little brother - At a White House reception one delegate from a Third World Country asks another: Do you have elections?

    The answer: Yes evely morning!

    Guys!

Evelybody knows that - given the choice - America always will elect the "Buddy" you like to have a beer with. But don't forget we are a bunch of very busy people. Some of us hold

two or three jobs and we don't have the time to spent it with useless political bantering on elitist blogs!

And about that "partisan thing"- Obama is way ahead because

he seems to realize that in the future the "Labelistas" will be totally lost. They hardly know right now how to categorize a Ron Paul or Huckabee and there will be more and more of these "Whatevers" who could only be judged by checking each of their policies individually.

Obama promises to end the war - to give us health insurance - to fight for the poor - that works for me and is so far away from an idiot like Bush that a comparison of "two amateurs"

is stupid beyond words. And doesn't evelybody also know that professional Politicians in America are totally lost.

They just don't get, that these are the times of unintended consequences, where the best way to fight an enemy is watching how he destroys himself.

I realize sometimes this might take too long - but it is a

very important learning process America has to go through.

In conclusion - it might be important to leave the Salon from time to time. Lets go to the kitchen looking for new recipes!
