Whites won't let race die
Race would have died out a long time ago if those of European decent would let it. Did you not notice the whole Jena 6 incident? The people who put up the nooses did not do that based upon class or income but solely on race. All of the noose postings that followed had nothing to do with class but were aimed at a group based upon race. The DA's differential prosecution was once again solely race based. Time and time again European Americans in positions of power abuse that power to treat African-Americans and others differently. If you recall that's what started the whole Rodney King incident.
Even someone who we should be able to consider a friend fans the flames of racism. Elizabeth Edwards in looking for an excuse for her husband's lagging poll numbers immediately pointed to race as the factor. This illustrates that how you can reach one of the most exclusive clubs in America, the US Senate, and still even your "friends" focus on your race and not your ideas. Race as an issue in America will only die out when European Americans either stop focusing on it or are so out numbered that their race ceases to matter.

Worthless White Chatter from a White Liberbal( Most lethal of all whites)
As usual white liberals like Gary Kamiya have no problem shifting the burden of our country's racial issues on the backs of Black folks really poor Black folks.
Liberals like Kamiya when confronted with Black opinons which oppose his underdeveloped thesis dismiss them without any in- depth analysis.
Kamiya like most of the writers on Salon( a company which does not have any primary Black pundits or employees on it's staff) no doubt feels he has offered up something of value a treatise which places Black folks as the sole factor in freeing America from it's racist reality.
Kamiya never quotes Blacks on issues outside of race ( this is standard policy for most in MSM and white pundits here on Salon, Blacks are usually only quoted on race related topics).
Those who preach we should be a color blind country are dangerous and stupid and in truth fear the beauty and essence of race and diversity. Of course race should matter worthless chatter from white liberals like Gary Kamiya have zero depth, value, currency in venues that matter.
Blaming poor Blacks and making them the basis for releasing whites from thier racism is what expected from white folks nothing new here from Gary Kamiya..

Seems the easiest way to prevent that from happening is for the white neighbors not to panic and hightail to the suburbs when a non-white family moves in next door. Isn't that what led to the urban decay in so many of America's cities?

Yeah, that's real easy to say if your white...but since you don't have 500+ years of baggage in your background where you and every previous generation before you were perpetually put down by "the man," then it's kinda hard to be subjective...
And it's even harder to ignore this if you ARE white, and you see a perceptible difference in attitudes from the examples you gave above when they are applied to black people in your presence...I'm not going to give examples, but lets just say being married to someone from a different race kinda opens your eyes to that.
So ajbuckle, keep your blinkers closed...if you really believe that shit treatment by the police or whatever is equal to all races, genders, and sexual persuasions, then you've really lived a sheltered life...the rest of us know better.
Remember this the next time you are in an elevator with a black man and you see some white person holding their breathe...

Why is black racism so commonly ignored?

This is an example of a black man engaging in racist speech that would never be allowed from a white man. Thrasher is a racist in the classic sense of the word, and benefits from a double standard that is incensing to many whites who may otherwise be sympathetic to black causes. If you think that racism is wrong, then perhaps you shouldn't be a racist yourself.

and most white jews enjoy the privledges of being white. Truth is after WWII when jews fled germany that came to America and enjoyed the fruits of the jim crow era, many BTW also fled to South Africa and enjoyed the whiteness of aparthied.
Blacks do not see jews as a religious minority in any event they are viewed as whites and in truth they display the same racist pathologies of whites with thier "chosen people nonsense". Many jews will quickly remind you without any hesitation they are WHITE....
Black folks like me to dare to question white jewish racism are always on the end of racist slurs like"swartza" and the like
Sorry Anonymous but White jews that are bigots and racist get no free pass by playing the holocaust card and minority card. Blacks understand the game that many white jews have payed by having us always demonize WASPS and letting white jewish racists off the hook..not any more than shame has no currency anymore..
