    Another Chomsky Thought

    A second try might enable some thoughts regarding today's Russian invasion of Georgia.

    From my perspective, Condi Rice's and George Bush's call for restraint and 'respecting Georgia's sovereign territory" would be laughable, were it not so patheticly sad. Where once we might have had a bit of weight to throw around in such a conflict, we now have absolutely none, and the world knows it. This is a very clear example of how our actions of the past eight years--both domestic and international--have hurt us.
