The Washington Post has been caught selling lobbyist access to their reporters and political officials; declares the Post dead; and writes its obituary.
It can happen none too soon. Thanks for all that you do!

Whilst all the while he swans off on a pert ass spotting expedition down on Ipanema beach this weekend.
He need not travel to any beach to spot an ass, LL. All he has to do is Google letters londonlad salon and he'll have one of the biggest asses on the internet spotted very quickly.
I'll second what Pedinska said.
Thanks for taking another look at your position.
I'm going to bed too before someone figures out what a crotchety old bitch I really am (besides you, omoo, I mean). ;-}
No one here, to the best of my knowledge, has ever referred to you as old. Short of stature, perhaps, but not old.
Members of Britain’s consulate in Israel have visited detainees from that nation, while the Irish Foreign Ministry has demanded the release of the activists who hold Irish citizenship. So far the US has declined to publicly comment on the detention of Americans, including McKinney, by the Israeli government and appears to have made no effort to secure their release.
In the same article, a UN human rights investigator calls the seizure of the ship, the humanitarian aid and the people on-board, including former congresswoman and presidential candidate McKinney, as illegal, "noting that it made no sense for the military to capture people, force them into Israel, then charge them with “illegal entry” even though they never had any intention of going there."

Yes, and it's probably worse than anyone "thinks", because you're "prejudiced" against everything that you don't perceive as you, and because as you have whined and generalized about, those 18 year olds are just a bunch of stupid ignorant kids with no raw potential, who are only there because of their class status and race, and not because any of them earned it, unlike omooex. Besides, omooex can't be any sort of Xist because he is powerless or something.
The only smart person with any potential just happens to be the angry, "prejudiced", creepy old man that refers to himself on the Internets as omooex:

What's worse, is that all of the students in my current summer session class are dumb as a bag of hammers--really, none of these people are prepared for college nor do any of them strike me as especially intelligent. In terms of raw ability, very few of them really belong here, no matter what their race is. Their acceptance is merely a matter of the opportunities they received as a result of the school district and schools they attended, which has a lot to do with their parents' income, and of course, their parents' race.
Nice generalization there, I'm sure it is 100% valid for all the kids in your class, as you explicitly claimed, and not a single one of the kids in your class deserves to be there, it should just be you and the prof 1-on-1. You'd think a race warrior bigot buster like himself would see the problems with generalizations like the one he made about his classmates, but as we all know it is only wrong and boneheaded to make false generalizations about entire groups when others are the ones doing it, because omooex is so old and powerless.
By the same token there are very few notable American scientists.

Anyway, as I said, Heru'ur's isolationism masks racism. Amply proved by his remarks here.
She herself was accustomed to arriving at press conferences knowing in advance that she'd get to ask a question - - in fact, knowing in advance that she'd be called on to ask the first question. It's unbecoming of her to now be carrying on and harumphing about how it was "shocking" that Nico Pitney knew in advance that he'd be called on to ask a question at a press conference.
Just in the interest of clarity, sysprog, Thomas was not complaining about anything to do with the order of questions, or even the fact that people knew in advance who would ask questions.
Her complaint had nothing to do with press conferences but only with the description of the event as a Townhall. Historically, Townhall events are not scripted, attendance is open without invitations, and the ideas are free flowing.
This was no Townhall event, it was basically a photo-op for Obama to push his agenda.

Reminds me of another from Bernard Lewis' translation, previously mentioned, from the 9th century.
One day Khalid ibn Safwan's wife said to him, "How beautiful you are!".
"Do not say that," he said, "for I have not the pillar of beauty, nor the garment of beauty, nor the burnus of beauty."
"And what", she asked, "are the pillar and the garment and burnus of beauty?"
"The pillar of beauty," he said, "is height-and I am short; its garment is whiteness-and I am not white; its burnus is black hair-and I am bald. Now if you said, 'How sweet you are and how handsome you are,', that would be better."

Ignore the asshole.
(just not the good kind) re: Cynthia McKinney:
A spokesman for the Israeli embassy ... complained that McKinney "is not cooperating with the authorities." Israel is reportedly demanded that McKinney sign a document admitting to illegally entering Israeli territory ... The ship was attempting to circumvent a naval blockade of the strip, which is facing shortages of medicine and other key humanitarian goods.
Illegal entry into Israel; by entering the waters of the Gaza Strip; where Palestinians live; because of a blockade initiated by Israel (which state, of course, has chosen to blockade itself--every nation does this).
Huh. Brilliant argument all around. I think I'll take my Sears & Roebuck law degree and apply for a position with the Greater Israel (Judea and Samaria Division) Institute of Deep Thought and International Law Expertise.
