Two days before Obama voted in the Senate for the FISA "compromise" last year, he had that mechanical difficulty with his campaign plane that required an emergency landing in St. Louis.
He had already announced the previous week that he supported the "compromise," but was somebody delivering a warning to him so that he stayed in line?
I'd like to know what the relative chronology is of when Obama announced his support and the evening when Obama clinched the nomination when he disappeared from his campaign plane, let the plane with the press take off for Chicago without him, and then went to some location that was undisclosed for the time being. It was announced the next day that he had met that evening with Hillary Clinton, and then, after some confusion about where the meeting had taken place, that it was at Dianne Feinstein's home in D.C. But the Bilderbergers were meeting at that very time at a location -- in Reston, VA -- that was only a short distance from where Obama had left that plane, at Dulles Airport. I imagine Obama had time to be in both places. I have a vague recollection that the two events, that evening and the announcement of support of the "compromise", were around the same time.
