    Ruling classes don't give up their privileges.

    As Simon Johnson's excellent Atlantic piece "The Quiet Coup", http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200905/imf-advice, points out, ruling classes don't give up their privileges unless and until they are forced to, and the financial sector is our ruling class.

    I just wonder why Norman Thomas's son decided to be their lackey.
