Yes, I suppose your God is a God of vengeance and you probably worship that particular version of God as you've heard voices in your head telling you that you're the "Chosen People" and can do whatever you like to persuade others of your unique magnificence.
I am an atheist, but that was a nice swipe at the Jewish religion. And no doubt it was an oversight on your part in failing to read a letter I posted here the other day, entitled "Does Friedman appreciate that Israel has now crossed the line into committing war crimes?" The little voices in my head were sufficiently outraged at Israeli actions in Gaza to persuade me to write that. What do all the voices constantly screaming inside your head tell you?
As a Zionist American, you're not treated as a second-class citizen and you could suggest to Israel that it might be nice if Israel's Palestinians were also treated with such consideration.
Most people refer to my kind as American Jews, but you've got your own axe to grind. So be it. Fortunately, the days of legalized discrimination against Jews has passed in the USA, though growing up I did tangle with virulently antisemitic kids in my neighborhood, not a few of whom were of Irish descent, coincidentally. Even now, all grown up and no longer fighting the hoods in the hood, I still encounter antisemitism. Some things never get old, I suppose.
These letter pages are filled with people who are sincerely appalled at the Israeli assault on Gaza, and who post their criticisms in good faith. But then there are those people who revel in the chance to engage in some good old-fashioned Jew hating. I know which camp you fall into.

Strangely enough, that never gave me or the vast majority of our people the idea that we should inflict suffering on others to make up for the wrongs of the past. The Jews will create tons of jobs there for the local population, resulting in the long-awaited Mexican middle class that NAFTA promised.
Once the Jews are out of the middle east, the thugs who run the countries their will no longer be able to use them to unite their own people, and civil unrest will be widespread. We'll let social darwinism run its course, and keep assassinating their leaders until they instate democracy.
