  • @bernbart

If you're interested, PDA said something like

    Dear Bernbart,

Vaffanculo to She, Its wife, and Its mother. It is a boor stronzo… does not import to me hauls Its arrogant opinion. She goes via in culo.

    Faithfully yours,

I think you get the gist of it.

And Joel---your new nickname is now Toxic Spam.

  • @Mona

    當然可以 ;-)

Seriously, LondonLad asked for Sartre, and the line I wrote was, I erroneously thought, very famous. I apologize for not translating it, it goes, "Where are the pokers, the grills, the leather restraints?" People use plus ça change all the time, as well as frequent German, so I didn't think it would cause offense.

    Sorry.

  • @norm

I need my shoes, but I've got some poo I can fling.

I hereby pledge to fling my poo if any member of the current administration comes in range!

  • "If those who get angry whenever Obama is criticized..."

That's pure, unmitigated bullshit, and you know it.

  • The other side of Cheerleading

There are no shortage of blogs and websites devoted to giddy cheerleading and constructing hagiographies for Obama, and those who dislike being exposed to criticisms of Obama will, in just eight short days, have still another ideal website to frequent. By contrast, this won't be a very good place to visit for those seeking that.

I will be keeping an idea on the other two

    http://www.whitehouse.org/

    and

    http://www.whitehouse.com/

    To keep perspective as well

  • @Steele

I thought you started out as a Jew. (I could dredge up the letter from a day or two ago, if you want) There's really nothing you can do about it. Once a Jew, always a Jew, just like me.

Poor guy, but a valuable find! Quick, get him on ice, pacted and signed! An authentic self-hating Jew!

Gosh, Steele, we could make millions! Do you know how much Dershowitz would pay for you? Horowitz would try to out-bid him!

Steele, you just keep up that labored pretension that Zionism, which has been around as a practical force for 50 years, is the same as Judaism around for 2500 years. Just keep pretending that Judaism is centralised, with Jews responding to a central Jewish authority. It's a gold mine!

You know, together we could make as much as the "Golfing Gorilla" (http://www.thegolfinggorilla.com/)

  • OT (kind of)

One of bebop's letters that got through yesterday, but now is not there, said that he had attended the birth of a child in his family. The child's name used either one or both of bebop's names. He wrote [beautifully] about the experience and how it affected him.

I'm not criticizing, Glenn. I think you handled things as well as possible. And I'm sorry for being OT. I'll get back to reading.

I just thought people might like to know.

And bebop-o, if you're reading, Hello!

  • @ondelette

No need to apologize; it just seemed to set off a good number of posts in French. I might have done what you did too, and in fact have employed commonly understood French phrases. But it got a bit out of hand, not necessarily because of you.

But when I see, say, huge quotes in German of which I now little, I know it ticks me off. (Glenn reads German and/or speaks several other languages, tho not French. I do not speak for him, but do think as much as possible we should stay in the language of the blogger. Again, exceptions being foreigners who might read English, but are poor at writing in it.)

  • @harpie

That was good to hear. Thanks!

  • Derbig

What I find surprising about Steele is, no matter whether his feelings are genuine, how ignorant he is to the great damage he does to the very group he seeks to aid. Really, he might as well be (and perhaps is) a raving Palestinian-hating ultra-Zionist.

  • Joel_Grant

Now that he is (apparently) gone I am happy.

I see. This is you being "happy." My condolences.

  • @Mooser

Steele, you just keep up that labored pretension that Zionism, which has been around as a practical force for 50 years, is the same as Judaism around for 2500 years. Just keep pretending that Judaism is centralised, with Jews responding to a central Jewish authority. It's a gold mine!

I never said that, I never implied that, and I don't believe that.

I only mentioned their Jewish self-identification in order to illustrate their attachment to Israel. Read the post. Their is nothing of the sort of rhetoric that you mention in it.

  • @Omooex

That's a very generous attitude, Omooex. I somehow doubt if the Palestinians enter into his calculations much. Generally, it's hard for me to believe that someone would be bigoted about a perceived group on that level, but free of prejudice for others. I suppose it could happen.

Funny part is, Wallaby, neo-con or NYU never try to go head-to-head with him. I wonder why not?

Art, if you are reading this please let someone here know by e-mail if you are OK. You could post a few items over at Jebbie's place and he could put you on your own page if you need to communicate; assuming he would do so. But most of all, try to remember wu-wei in this matter. No?

    -- heru-ur

That's an excellent suggestion and I know Art is lurking so he'll see this also.

I'll be glad to give him a couple of pages to do with what he wants. All he has to do is let me know what he wants posted on his section of the WOg and I'll get it up there as soon as I can.

    Art, you've got the addy.

  • Oh!, Hag

It would seem that Bernbart, no less, has found our recent discussions less than enlightening. To which I could respond in many ways, come to think of it, none of them particularly civil, but several potentially worthy of a Pomtini spray... Jebbie, is there an award available for this performance?

I'm sure we can scrounge up a trophy somewhere.

    Maybe some spoolies?

  • @ Derbig Mooser

Funny part is, Wallaby, neo-con or NYU never try to go head-to-head with him. I wonder why not?
