It would be unfortunate if, as happens in such conflicts, Glenn somehow becomes the "bad guy". Glenn hasn't harshly condemned bebop-o or shown anything but good will towards him; the prospects of bebop-o's future access is strictly between him and Glenn, IMO.

I entirely appreciate why Glenn did what he did. And you're right, he showed complete goodwill. I don't why bebop-o did what he did and I suppose, from the perspective of a guy who simply enjoys reading and commenting here, it doesn't really matter. So, in sum, I like bebop-o, hope he's doing well, hope he finds another place to comment, and have only the best thoughts for and of him.

And that's the last I'll say of this, since I'm probably beating a dead horse.

Did you ever operate a cab out of Fiumicino airport?

  • As one who will not miss bop-head's stupid prattle

It is good news if we are now safe from having to scroll past page after page of bebop-o's time-wasting crap. He/she/it should set up he/she/its own blog and type nonsense all day every day. Those who want to wade through it, go ahead.

What a happy day if this kind of toxic spam is going to stop.

    ...are never so polite.

  • Dear Joel Grant,

    Eat a dick.

    Warmly,

  • Paul Daniel Ash

Paul, you referenced Boston roots; and all I can say is, the Eire Pub on most nights is much more fun, and much more raucous, than a poetry tweet at Harvard.

  • @Paul Daniel Ash

    Who says:

    Dear Joel Grant,

    Eat a dick.

    Warmly,

OK, I'll bite (so to speak). What motivates you to such a crude and silly insult?

  • Timothy3

So, in sum, I like bebop-o, hope he's doing well, hope he finds another place to comment, and have only the best thoughts for and of him.

For whatever it's worth, I share those sentiments and conveyed them to him.

  • @Dirigo

I like raucous. Glenn's got some college students working as bouncers, so I say let's just be the unruly yobs we are.

My local is the Behan in JP. I don't go to Dorchester in groups smaller than 4.

  • Joel_Grant

What motivates you to such a crude and silly insult?

    I'm known for my charm.

You came onto a comments thread with nothing to add but some obnoxious sentiments about someone whom you know will be prevented from defending himself. So I turn your question back on you, sir: what motivates you to be such a douchecock?

  • PDA

You just have to start your own parade in Dorchester and, upon entering the neighborhood, have numbers equal to or exceeding any other group, sort of like cows clumped together in a storm, wedging forward.

  • OBAMA and LOOKING BACKWARDS

Obama can be given a pass for not wishing to look backward.

The rest of the country, however, should look back.

Too many pieces of the system need fixing to let things slide.

I'm back about page 37 and still catching up... but did you know voles mate for life? Yeah. Just leaned that yesterday. Who knows where the thread is now... I'll find out eventually, so, sorry for the interruption and "carry on."

  • oops!

page 31. page 37 is where I'm trying to go. except I can't stop laughing. pretty funny stuff back here.

  • Points

    1. If they were not terrorists before they went to Guantanamo, they will surely have the proper motivation to be terrorists if and when we set them free.

    2. The actions of the Bush Administration, including torture and kidnapping and imprisonment of even children, is horrendous and an abomination to this great nation.

    3. Torture does not work. That is not an opinion, it is a well-researched and documented fact. It should not even be a debate on the news. There is no debate. It doesn't work.

    4. This nation used to stand for something: the rule of law. The world looked up to us because of that. We have lost that. The arguments against due process in these cases completely ignores the fact that this nation has faced enemies foreign and domestic for 200 years and survived just fine with due process in place.

As if during the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam we had no enemies. It is a completely baseless, bullshit argument.

    5. This nation did not torture and did not begin a "war on terror" until Jewish Neocons took over our foreign policy. This nation has been Israel-ized. 9/11 was the excuse to turn this nation into the United States of Israel, inheriting their values, their worldview, their enemies, and their tactics. And this cultural change in Washington will only intensify under Obama.

    6. The television program '24' is a perfect example of Zionist propaganda brainwashing the American public into believing torture is acceptable and O.K. See:

    http://www.jewishjournal.com/articles/item/24_producer_howard_gordon_our_only_politics_is_to_have_an_exciting_show_200/

  • A turning point.....

Closure of Gitmo is a turning point in regaining our character and a perfect starting point for the Obama Administration.

Commission removal from all officers associated with its creation and maintenance would send a strong reminder to military officers over the importance to the Constitution.

A bonus to the United States, all 50 of us, would be to order the restoration of the Jack of the United States back on the bows of our ships. It was removed in 2002 as an act of folding to fear of harbor terrorists.

    Re: "No Exit"

We did excerpts from it in French class when I was in high school. My French teacher was a student at the Sorbonne during WWII, and apparently she saw the play when it was first produced. She stayed in France until sometime after the Liberation, came back to America, married a GI named Cohen, became a teacher, and was considered completely exotic and glamourous -- and faintly tragique à la Piaf

  • @Paul Daniel Ash (again)

First you make suggest I suck a dick and now call me a 'douchecock'. And complain about my obnoxious sentiments. Thanks for the good laugh!

I ignored bebop-o while he was here on the grounds that his own endless blather wasted enough time. Now that he is (apparently) gone I am happy.

If you are unhappy and actually enjoyed his public meltdown, good for you. You and bepop-o can go start your own blog and type away until your keyboards fizzle.

So, your turn. Try Grey's Anatomy if you need to raise your sights a bit.
