It’s interesting being a Jew and watching screaming protesters surround the Israeli consulate in San Francisco as my brave Jewish brothers and sisters fight the radical Islamists of Hamas to defend our people and land from constant bombardment. One of my favorite political websites, one with which I’ve had a long history as a diarist and commenter, has devolved into an orgy of anti-Israel hysteria including excitement over the deaths of Israeli soldiers.

What I feel is a closer desire to Israel and to the Jewish people during this time that the world, apart from the United States, turns its back on the Jewish state while winking at Hamas’s crimes - as the world has done for the past 3 years. It’s times like these that we must turn inward, we must circle the wagons and rely on the inner strength and power the Jewish people have gained over thousands of years of betrayal and persecution by goyim non-Jews. In this hour we stand together as one.
