"an unconditional return to our fundamental values and the Constitution"
What are our fundamental values and when did we ever really stick to the constitution? Sure, the past 8 years have been worse than normal, but it's not like we haven't been torturing people for hundreds of years. Remember the Native Americans? Slavery? South America?
Does anyone know how we can get more people on these shows who can articulate why we must hold the Bush criminals accountable?-- pmorlan
Call me a loony lefty radical extremist utopian dreamer, but you could try voting for them?
Re: Blondes.
And Redheads.
I noticed in passing that one of our American evening news shows, cannot recall which one, but it doesn't matter, they all run together, was all over the Prince Harry Thing and how very contrite and sorrowful HRH was to be outed as such a racist, Monarch-mocking scalawag. Bad Prince Harry. Bad.
But then, truly, who could possibly care? Even in Britain. Let alone Ireland. But it is a fine diversion from the Cruel Girl Blondes, Livni and Liebovitz, proving how Tough they are against the Barbaric Foe, yadda, yadda. I'm sure QE1 similarly had to prove her mettle against the Heathen Irish back in the day, eh? After she single-handedly defeated the Spanish Armada. Not that the situations are comparable. Just another Redhead for you.
Liebovitz was smirking, practically giggling, when confronted with the evidence that Israel was using white phosphorous shells on the Gazan population. Of course she wouldn't deny or confirm, just smirked. Almost giggled at the thought of all those barbarous Gazans, burnt to the bone, a sweet savour unto her Lord.
The thing is, Americans are less and less inclined to buy into the Narrative and the Distractions any more. Propaganda is recognized as such by increasing numbers of Americans, and they are tuning it out. They don't yet quite know what to do about it, but belief is declining.
That's why the efforts Glenn mentions to canonize and sanctify every action, word, and flip-flop of the Incoming seem so bizarre. People's belief has been shattered, and the notion that the Incoming (OS -- Our Saviour -- as he's come to be known ruefully) is somehow Wiser than you all, and Perfected in His Subtlety -- we are simply unworthy to comprehend his Brilliant Subtlety -- strikes a very discordant note.
Will he be elevated directly to Divinity without passing through Sainthood? Ridiculous. There simply isn't a halo big enough.
While they are rejecting the propaganda, it is still difficult for many Americans to get accurate or at least somewhat accurate information. Maybe it's something like the Soviets once they rejected the Party Line from Pravda and Izvestia but still had a hard time getting hold of the samizdat alternative pamphlets and mimeographed newsletters. Like the Soviets, Americans know what they are being told is a lie, but they don't yet know where to find truth.
To which our Post-modernists say, "Feh. There isn't any such thing."
Why be so vague? How many months? How many rockets? How many Israelis have been killed by Hamas rockets prior to the air, sea and land attack on Gaza? There's no need to be so bashful about the details and you might be also able to give information on the F-16s, the tanks and all the rest of the latest "materiel" used by those unspeakable Palestinians against the settlers.
At the top of my screen I'ne noticed some new advertisements. One shows a charming little cherub with a phone in her hand and the message "Someone in Israel wants to hear from you". There's also another one inviting people to learn Hebrew online. The first invitation I'd definitely decline as I've learned a poem "Come into the parlour, said the spider to the fly" and, as for Hebrew, not really. Just as many Israelis flinched at the prospect of hearing Chancellor Angela Merkel speaking German on a visit to Israel last year, I'd have an uneasy response to a language which could have been the last that Palestinian children heard as a UN school was bombarded last Tuesday by an Israeli tank crew.
They view Al Gore as God savior of the planet, inventor of the internet-- libertyaintfree
Are you hoping to turn that juvenile bunch of 'the stoopid' into a viral email or what?
At any rate, it's fools such as yourself who made up and then propagated the 'Al Gore said he invented the internet' ponydroppings, not the 'leftists' that you are so pathetically trying to piss on with your silly manure heap of nonsense.

Doesn't matter how many months or how many rockets it's about the phoney selective outrage. The pointing of fingers at only the ones that may benefit to promote an agenda you agree with .Good for the goose should be good for the gander. It is still acceptable sport to attack Sarah Palin's children this many months after an election,to bash Bush,to condemm the many people in uniform that are trying only to make things better for themselves and in the world.Perfect,no but the Obama election proved at least progress. The old saying is if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem and it's time to treat all with the respect you'd like to be treated with.To call things as they are, to demand accountability from both sides ,and to be wary of anyone promoting otherwise. The risk is not only to thier own credibility but also to the demise of the many good points and ideas they may have. The ones who preach tolerance should not be the least tolerant. The ones who want thier ideas heard should also listen with an open mind in return. There is no doubt the propaganda machines of the islamofacist enjoy and benefit as well as promote this division.
For Glenn to write what he did, based on nothing, is... just... Glenn.
You did note the links provided, right? That's a whole lotta 'nothing'.
They (the Iranians) keep bragging how they are progressing with their uranium refining, and how happy they'll be when Israel, the US, and the UK will be wiped out.
Well, you're half-right there. The Iranians certainly aren't shy about making it clear how they're as technically savvy as the rest of the world. Be kinda silly for them to pretend otherwise.
For the rest of it, well, didn't Khrushchev promise "We will bury you!"? Leaders, especially figureheads like Ahmadinejad, make all sorts of bluster and threats; Iran is no different. The question is can they carry any of it out. I have yet to see anything that suggests Tehran can do more than cause expensive mischief in the Gulf.
Do you know something the rest of us don't, or are you simply feeding a bad meme?
