It's now commonplace for our political and media elites to explicitly renounce the principles of justice which the U.S. long led the world in advocating.

So killing twenty Jews by rocket is OK, but not twenty Arabs by interrogation?

All this moral posturing by the left is just too much to keep track of. Gee, I sure am glad you all are here to tell me this killing is more egregious than that killing. Tsk.

No one here has suggested that the deaths of Israeli civilians is fine and dandy, Shooter. To the contrary. Most of us have repeatedly condemned Hamas' attacks on civilians. We also condemn the slaughter of innocent Palestinians, condemnations which you seem rather hesitant to agree with.

It's known that Israel utilizes torture and, in fact, torture is codified as legal in certain circumstances by Israeli law. It would seem, therefore, that even though Israel uses torture, it doesn't seem to be working very well for them. If it had, the rocket attacks would have been stopped, wouldn't they? Isn't that what you're claiming when you boast that "because Bush uses torture (and other illegal acts), there haven't been any terrorist attacks on the US". (paraphrasing)

Why do you believe the US should use torture to interrogate prisoners when its been demonstrated that torture, even if it were legal, doesn't work?
