I remember meeting someone doing their aliyah from Maryland who was living in Jerusalem, and he was constantly whining about how Israelis couldn't stand him. My heart went out to him, as you can imagine. As it does for you.
Thanks, but I prefer the heart of my smart, sweet, beauuuutiful Israeli-born girlfriend, who was employing some novel techniques for keeping me off the internet until just now.

It is pretty obvious to us that you genuinely hate the Palestinians. I can even see why.
The question I have is, why do you think that they hate you? There must be a reason.
Other than genocide, collective punishment, targeted assassinations, et al, do you have any ideas how to solve this problem? I mean this hasn't worked for you has it? The situation gets worse all the time.
How many people wanted to destroy Israel on Jan. 1 and how many want to destroy it now?
The actions of your government are just making it worse. The sad thing is that logic of your actions can only conclude in genocide or expulsion of the Palestinians. That will not be good for Israel.
I don't recall whining, only saying that both Iraelis and Palestinians find people like you rather repugnant.
By the way, those men were soldiers in civilian uniform. No one knows what they were doing inside Ramallah proper. As part of the Oslo Accords, Israeli soldiers were not allowed to travel to Bet El through Ramallah. Israel had built a by -pass highway for them to travel to the settlement. I know all this from having lived in Ramallah on that particular day. The crowd was coming from a funeral
If you need citations:
"The Israeli army said they were army reservists who had taken a wrong turning and blundered into Ramallah where their car was apprehended [by the way, that's impossible there is no way into Ramallah on that highway]."

"But Palestinians preparing to attend a funeral for a young man killed by Israeli gunfire the day before saw the Israeli soldiers being brought into the station and swarmed into the station, overpowering the local police."

It was a horrible day, not the least for the rockets whizzing over our heads later that day. I don't condone what happened. I think something like a hundred Palestinians had already been killed by the IDF since then.
By the way, I think thou dost protest too much, viz your 'girlfriend'. My god, your so obvious!
You do know that we could trade atrocity stories all day long? The Pals say you started it, and you say the Pals started, and around and around it goes.
It's a truly stupid thing to say, but to stop the killing you have to stop the killing. I know it's hard. But it has to happen.
Personally I think that this action has the potential to spiral out of control. How long before the suiciders start hitting you all over the world, where there is no wall to protect your people, no AC 130's. It's already begun. Hatred is a virus, and sadly you are infected.
Please see a good psychiatrist.
The International Committee of the Red Cross on Thursday accused Israel of delaying ambulance access to the Gaza Strip and demanded it grant safe access for Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances to return to evacuate more wounded.Relief workers said they found four starving children sitting next to their dead mothers and other corpses in a house in a part of Gaza City bombed by Israeli forces, the Red Cross said on Thursday.
"This is a shocking incident," said Pierre Wettach, ICRC chief for Israel and the Palestinian territories. "The Israeli military must have been aware of the situation but did not assist the wounded. Neither did they make it possible for us or the Palestinian Red Crescent to assist the wounded." The agency said it believed Israel had breached international humanitarian law in the incident...
Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances and ICRC officials managed to reach several houses in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City on Wednesday after seeking access from Israeli military forces since last weekend, the ICRC statement said.
The rescue team "found four small children next to their dead mothers in one of the houses," the ICRC said. "They were too weak to stand up on their own. One man was also found alive, too weak to stand up. In all there were at least 12 corpses lying on mattresses," it said.
In another house, the team found 15 survivors of Israeli shelling including several wounded, it said. Three corpses were found in another home. Israeli soldiers posted some 80 meters (yards) away ordered the rescue team to leave the area which they refused to do, it said.
Serious question Jonathan

I see a *few* serious questions Bill. :)
Actually, I don't hate Palestinians for who they ARE. But I do hate what too many of them DO, which is commit acts of terror, lately shooting rockets at Israeli cities. Note that they resorted to that "technique" after Israel found out how to keep them from blowing up our school busses and clubs.
I don't have to guess why Palestinians hate Israel, they are serious and well-spoken and will tell you exactly why they hate Israel. It's in the Hamas charter. Have you read it? If not, I suggest you do. I'd be interested in your reaction.
Here's a copy:
I'd say the punchline's in Article 13, which starts:
[Peace] initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
Other than genocide, collective punishment, targeted assassinations, et al, do you have any ideas how to solve this problem? I mean this hasn't worked for you has it?
Well, Bill, this question isn't very serious, since to charge someone with genocide you've gotta have, um, a genocide take place. There hasn't happened, so...
It would seem you're new to this whole mideast thing, Bill, so why don't you look for that nice Wikipedia site, and read about Israel's history, including the peace agreement with Egypt, the peace agreement with Jordan, the peace agreement with Lebanon (which ended when a Syrian dictator decided to blow up the Lebanese president), and, on some news cites (CNN, etc.) you can read all about Israel's recent negotiations with Syria, and yes, the Palestinian Authority (remember them, Bill?)
You know, back to the genocide thing, Bill, um, if you're really convinced that there was a genocide, why don't you talk to Mahmoud Abbas and the entire Palestinian Authority? I'll bet they'd be very interested in that.
How many people wanted to destroy Israel on Jan. 1 and how many want to destroy it now?
I don't Bill, how many?
