This is 2006 all over again. There is no way for Israel to decisively win; as long as Hamas can fire rockets, they win. The point of the rockets is not to kill Israelis, but to say, "yes, you can kill us, but we can kill you, too." This war isn't likely to win the hearts and minds of Palestinians. With no food, water, or much reason to live (or any degree of certainty that you will), why not fire rockets?

If Israel wants to end "terror" (really, asymmetrical warfare), they can either provide Hamas with a proper army and air force, or help the Palestinians attain a life where martyrdom seems absurd.

I have innocently been using "Ahava" products' soothing men's after shave moisturizer made in Israel, not because I insist on using Israeli products, but because this is the only after shave I've found in 50 odd years which both smells ok and also prevents the bumps.
