And is that the egocentric or the egotistic part of you saying this? If that is the case, why did they stop the fight with Hezbollah? This fight with Hamas is no contest. It is the proverbial David and Goliath fight. In fact they should not have cared what the world was thinking and creamed the hell out of Hezbollah. But they did not. Why not, if we go by your assertion? Should Palestinians feel the same? After all, they throw thousands of aimless rockets at Israel with little or no damage and still get a good number of their population wiped out by a more superior opponent with all the missiles and the power any military super power posseses.

In fact, I am not so sure if your statement isn't more applicable to the feelings of the Palestinians than the Israelis. I mean he who is down, fears no fall, and by sheer economic, military, and geopoltical power, Israelis are in a more enviable position than the Palestinians. The problem is peace is not a zero sum game and until both sides seek genuine peace, neither Israel nor Palestine will have peace. Is this too hard to understand?
