As I and others have stated, there are journalists in Gaza, this is in response to you saying you wish they would let journalists in.

If watch Al Jazeera and you can keep the bile from rising in your throat long enough, you will see a very professional news organization at work. Please note that AJ has its roots in the Beeb and to this day adheres to the highest journalistic standards. Are they biased? Of course. Are they fair? I think they try to be.

There are other Arab journalists there as well. Or are you so bigoted that you think a goddamn Arab can't tell the truth? Tell that to Christiana Amanpour.

Israel´s offensive, and the U.S. support of same, is based on two essential points:

1) The Jews who struggled against British and worldwide blockage to return to Israel after 2000 years of forced Roman exodus, slavery, persecution, pogroms, humiliation, ghettoization and Nazi extermination, were determined that never again, as they did in World War II, would they go to death like lambs to the slaughter. Therefore, Israelis, men and women, have fought the ¨Palestinians¨ for pure survival, over the past 67 years. The Palestinian sniping and murderous attempts against Jewish settlements and kibbutzim started back in the early 40´s, not last week, and have never really stopped.

2) If you remember your facts of the 6-day war, there were many millions (i haven´t the exact figures) of massed Moslem (so-called ¨Arab¨) nations against the tiny state of Israel which at that time had about a million odd population. Not a very fair situation, was it? The ¨Arabs¨ had an enormous multi-pan-Arab army AND Russian arms arrayed against Israel. Goliath against David over and over and over again. Yet,

because of their intelligence, education, knowledge and technological know-how, plus American arms, the Israelis still won the 6-day war.

Ever since, the ¨Arab¨ terrorists have never let up in their determination to wipe Israel and every Israeli, to a man and woman, off the face of the earth. How would the U.S., or any European country, react in similar circumstances? Stand by with arms crossed and get creamed?

I put the word ¨Arabs¨in inverted commas, because few of the Moslem-converted nations are really Arab. Iraquis, Syrians and a couple of others are truly the only Arabs. Pakistani are an Indic people, Iranis are Persian, Lebanese are Phoenician ancestry, Egyptians are Copt and African Moslems are African. It´s a pan-cultural, religious system, not an ethnic one. Judaism is the mother religion of both Christianity and Islam. That´s also a historic factor in wishing to distance themselves from and forget their religious origin. The same happened during the Crusades.

The events in Gaza are saddening, especially for the non- involved residents. But how many of those ¨residents¨ are really non involved? How many are supporting or being used by Hamas? That is the problem. Too many Israelis have been killed by terrorist groups using women and children as ¨living bombs¨ to blow up a café, bus, theater or hotel. As in South East Asia, trusting an innocent appearing person of whatever age, can mean death, and Hamas knows that and uses the residents as scape goats. Fellow Arabs, especially the super super rich of Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, etc. are responsible for the Palestinians´ fate, for with all their Midas riches, they´ve never lifted a gold-laden finger to help them. Yet, the world-wide Anti-Jewish anti-Semitism gleefully points the finger of guilt at Israel. Israel simply wants to survive and has reached the point that it cares not a whit what the world thinks. Its only aim is to survive the ¨Arab¨ goal of destroying it.
