7500 rockets lobbed into Israel and hundreds of suicide bombs set off in Jerusalem and elsewhere, which together have killed thousand of Israelis is more than enough reason to go back into the Gaza area of Israel and kill members of hamas. -- rockybalboaWhere do you get this crap? Thousands of Israelis killed by Hamas?
Since 2000, Israel has killed 955 Palestinian children while the Palestinians have killed 123 Israeli children. That's about an 8:1 ratio.
At the same time, Israel has killed 4850 Palestinians while Palestinians have killed 727 Israelis. That's a ratio of about 7:1.
Better trolls, please.
How does my desire for peace collide with what you characterize as my "talking points?" I gave my view of the history of Palestine 1880-2009 merely to support the position that there must be a two-state solution, i.e., that a single state solution does not work. I gave my view of maximum retaliation when war is imposed because a war of attrition is the destruction of Israel.
A two-state solution is ill-served by settlements or other impediments to a final agreement. It is far worse served by suicide bombers, rockets and terrorist acts of war. The settlements can be removed, and will be (not that they should have been there in the first place). You cannot undo people splattered against the walls of a pizza shop. How you can argue equivalence of a blockade (whoever started the hostilities) to terrorism is beyond me. As I pointed out, Hamas had $100 million in gift revenue and would have had far more had it not chosen to engage Israel in war for its own political purposes. There was money to feed and house the Gazan population---it went instead to offensive weapons.
However, we need to find a solution. I believe it lies somewhere near Taba. America under Obama, hopefully, will restrain Israel's worst tendencies and convince those in Hamas to put away the death rhetoric in favor of life. That will require both carrot and stick. I am always hopeful, not that there is a great track record to be hopeful.
For Glenn and his apologists, there is no anti-Semitism on these boards. And if there is, it's a lone nutcase. And if there's more than a few, well, what are ya gonna do?
Is it one, a few, or more than a few? You know how to establish that beyond debate?
Permalinks.
Great Flying Spaghetti Monster, you people, put up or shut up.
Yes, watch out for me. Though I have no power to affect anything in your life, I am obviously an existential threat.
Thanks.
Argh that the first comment (likely to be deleted soon, but still) is by such an anti-Semitic moron, thus fueling the ultimately unproductive fires of those earlier delightful talkbacks. Good times.
America, that first comment, "Inceinerate all the Zionist and Republicans" was made by a Zionist supporter, one of many, as a provocation.
Okay? Not an anti-semite, no, a Zionists supporter.
And another Zionist supporter, "Wallaby", has threatened "hate speech" crimes prosecutions based on these same comments!
Sorry, but I read the comments and didn't see anyone make this explicit. I may have missed it, and think it should be said.
I read everything Ondolette posts, and its just not in him. -- omooex
Palestra is trying to conflate this impassioned late night outburst with anti-Semitic Nazis slurs:
The U.N. school was being used by Hamas as a mortar launching position, another example of the pusillanimous Islamic terrorist organization. -- markandkari
This is dead wrong, the IDF has admitted privately to the UNRWA that the Hamas mortars were launched from a block away. The only pusillanimous ones here are the people who continue to propagate such trash long after it has been disproven, and haven't the guts to admit that shelling a school full of refugees isn't right. Keep talkin' trash. The content of your character is being exhumed from the rubble of those row houses as we speak. Surely at least that will provoke a human feeling?
Tell me something, is 'row house' IDF jargon for 'boxcar' now? -- ondelette Permalink Thursday, January 8, 2009 11:54 PM
markandkari repeated a propaganda assertion that is disputed and ondelette called him on it. Ondelette has, what is to Palestra and markandkari, the "distasteful" habit of regarding all human beings as endowed with a right to life. Even the children that Hamas (apparently doesn't) hide behind.
I suspect that the other cites in his list are equally misleading, but like you, I'd have to go through the archive to be certain.
I've cited and cited. I'm not going to keep repeating myself because pre-existing blinders wearing agenda driven ranters such as yourself refuse to entertain the possibility.
So far on Glenn's boards I've learned that anti-Semitism is merely another tool of the Jewish cabal, a made-up concept by the descendants of the Holocaust to exploit and profit from global guilt.
Who knew? The Jews and Israel apologists invented anti-Semitism as a fake concept, a protection if you will, from the noble and pure motives of someone like Glenn Greenwald, who simply weeps for the poor Palestinian children?
I can't believe those shifty Jews. They're so ingenious, they've actually created a mythical narrative that people hate Jews so you'll feel guilty and won't criticize Israel! It's absolutely brilliant.
Next thing you know, they'll engineer to have Germans kill some of them in gas chambers, so 65+ years later, theyn can exploit and profit from that as well.
Brilliant!
And one of my favorites. Nothing like dusting off an old chestnut. He forgets to use proper grammar when calling someone else some variation of stupid.
your a f-ing moron.

Wait a second. Wasn't WinSmith the chickenhawk that was in here strutting around with his feathers all ruffled, telling Derbig Mooser to learn to spell it he wishes to be taken seriously? I think so.
The Jews and Israel apologists invented anti-Semitism as a fake concept, a protection if you will, from the noble and pure motives of someone like Glenn Greenwald, who simply weeps for the poor Palestinian children?
This is all invented in your mind. You have nothing to support this. No one has claimed such. It's not that you won't back it up, it's that you can't. You refuse to crawl out of your own mind, become self-aware, and provide any semblance of objectivity.
