I guess Israel is wrong to find a problem with that. Maybe if they acted more like a government and less like the terrorist organization...
From the mouths of babes.
Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.
Enough said, indeed.
I'm off to bed and what I hope (but am sure are not) sweet dreams.
Ouh, Ouch!
Ouh, Ouch!
Remarkable riposte.
But I'm still going to sleep.
Go ahead and marinate in your creepy God-knows-what concoction that'll produce a Palestinian State --also known as "Permanent Refugee Camp/Prison/Hopeless Homeland [but it would all end if those rockets would just stop!].
Go pray now, markandkari, to your God of whatever (for forgiveness).
And I hope, for Kari's sake, you don't speak for her.
About as remarkable as fuck you and the...
Go to bed and I'll have something in the morning if you care to read it.
About as remarkable as fuck you and the...
Hey, I didn't use that word (which, in and of itself, is notable).
Nighty night (and give Kari a platonic kiss for me).
but as 9/11 is the bitter seed which lies at the heart of the poisonous fruit of so many subsequent events, it has to be dealt with when it arises.
Lost in Berlin:Aside from his dismissal of the 9/11 conspiracy theories (which could conceivably be his honest opinion based on the evidence presented, as he himself states in the youtube clip), do you have any evidence to back this claim up?
Yes is the short answer to that question.
Mr Chomsky is a well known intellectual. He studies, ruminates on and then espouses a view on the great issues of the day that presumably he has assembled from his ruminations.
9/11 is such a great issue. Therefore he must have given the matter much thought.
So have I. NIST claims free fall rate for the towers saying that they fell merely under gravity.
Right, lets put that through Newton.
"If an object (top of the tower) falling under gravity gathers mass (floors) as it falls it will loose downward velocity as it does so. And the downward velocity the object (top of the tower) looses will be in direct proportion to the amount of mass (floors) that it gathers as it falls."
This law is inviolate. Yet the collapse was in no way impeded by the floors below. From this we are OBLIGED to recognise (we have no choice) that other forces must therefore have been in play.
Mr Chomsky must know this. But he is as I have said an "intellectual." And as we so often find intellectuals are sometimes completely bereft of common sense. Either that or they are working according to agendas that they may not necessarily declare.
Failing that explanation he may just be deluded or down right scared.
...errrr....manufacturing of ANYTHING, Genius. Naturally they'd be booming if not for the nefarious workings of the Zionist Entity. Nope, how about any other Arab state--ya know, NOT occupied by the vicious, devouring Jews--where anything as sophisticated as a tricycle or rickshaw might be manufactured??
What might those products be?
Uh-huh. Right.
This is how 9/11 casts its baleful shadow, as its designers intended, over all certain subsequent events and our perceptions of them including what is now happening in Gaza.
Sometime shortly after that dreadful day George Bush made a statement. He said, "You are either with us or you are with the terrorists."
In fact as should be now becoming apparent to more people with the passage of time is this. The choice is more daunting, all embracing and far more interesting.
Every man jack in America and around the world needs to decide whether they are on the side of Galileo and reason or Pope Urban and the type of Inquisitions of which Gaza, the reckless use of close air support in Afghanistan and the violation by drone of other sovereign territories are all of a piece.
I didn't mean to imply you said f.u., you said remarkable riposte.
I could go into a long history of the Palestinian problem and all most all fault would lie at the Palestinians feet.
• Arabs were always expected to participate fully in a Jewish Palestine.
• Under the British mandate, Jewish immigration to Palestine raised the standard of living as well as the social welfare of the Arabs dramatically (which remained static under the British)
• Arabs peacefully coexisting with Jews were persecuted and murdered by pan-Arabists (like Awni Abdel Hadi, whose goal was to fight until Palestine became a graveyard for every Jew – sound familiar).
• Most Palestinians were resistant to the Arab Higher Committee due to worse conditions under AHC provoked fighting
After the partition
• Attempts by the Arab Liberation Army (ALA) went mostly unanswered by Palestinian Arabs and so the armed resistance came from outside Palestine
• Inflated Israeli atrocities reported by the ALA during the fighting while Jewish leadership under-reported Arab atrocities in order to maintain a path to reconciliation
• With the outset of AHC and ALA provoked hostilities a great exodus of Arabs vacated Palestine as they felt it was not their fight
• A forced displacement of women and children by the AHC and local militias from Israeli cities
• Palestinian leaders abandoned Palestine with the outbreak of wide spread hostilities leaving the citizens to fend for themselves in a war they did not start -- sound familiar
• There was no assistance from the Arab states to ease the plight of the Palestinian except to place them in refugee camps
• Calls for the forcible return of refugees, at least the young men of fighting age, by Arab middle eastern leaders to fight the Israelis
It goes on and on. The Palestinian refugees have been played and used by the people who are supposed to look out for their interests. As refugees they are a thorn in the side of Israel and the world but they only have the Arab leaders to blame for their status. As refugees they are easily indoctrinated into anti-Jewish, anti-west hate filled killing machines to further the aim and fatten the wallets of their oppressors, the Arab leadership. One can liken it to the scepter of perpetual victimization that has been used so effectively in the U.S. by the black leadership. Arafat was the master of this.
I don’t accept your premise that a Palestinian state will result in a blood bath. Israel has returned the Sinai, the Golan Heights and the Suez Canal. While Jewish settlements have been illegally built, the Israelis evicted the Gaza settlers in 2005 (forcibly in some cases) and are willing to do what must be done within their own borders to bring about a two state system. It’s time for the Arab leadership to stop calling for the extermination of Israel if they are serious about peace. Until that happens I will staunchly support Israel’s right to protect their borders.
