The comment of Glenn's I alluded to earlier.
Obama has annexed a huge portion of the progressive infrastructure -- and many of these groups have nobody but themselves to blame, having pursued the benefits of short-term growth at the expense of their autonomy. - GG

Atrios says Stoller was EATED by the House of Representatives. Glenn might have said, ANNEXED.

wasn't Neville of the tightly furled umbrella a, oh noes a CONSERVATIVE?
Good call! I just googled, and sure enough you're right. I'd really always assumed Chamberlain was Labour, but whataya know, he was a Tory!!!
Just one more absurdity in the repeated mention of Chamberlain as an example of liberal failure. Why is it that, when scrutinized, liberal failure so often turns out to be conservative failure?
you might have experienced a case of premature accolation in your early choice of Troll of the Day. ;-}
We are being accused of indulging in hate speech, and being threatened with legal action, by someone who likely doesn't believe in those laws to begin with, but who doesn't hesitate to brag about committing copyright infringement (or whatever the legalese for stealing music off the intertoobz is).
Everything on my iPod comes from one Gnutella network or another.
Never paid for a thing, and until it is technically impossible otherwise, never will.
Thanks for the heads up, bystander. Interesting article but not surprising, I suppose. It would appear we have our very own propagandisite (propaganda parasite), as opposed to a propaganda site (what he considers Salon).
This thread's been like an episode out of some hyperbolic, bodice-ripping, teeth-gnashing, chest-beating, back-of-the-hand-to-the-forehead-feinting, spittle-flinging soap opera.
And that's just taking into account the ones Derbig has been battling in a singularly menschly way.
Atrios says Stoller was EATED by the House of Representatives. Glenn might have said, ANNEXED.
The only difference being -- and it's a huge one -- that Matt is going there to change them, not be changed by them. He has no interest in having some establishment job unless he can use it to be disruptive. It may not work, but -- unlike those progressive groups that are beholden to Obama and his followers -- Matt's not going to be beholden to anyone there.
After reading today's Chris Hitchens post in Slate, I got it. I am wasting my time reading Greenwald column. Yeap, I am sorry Glenn, but I am giving up on you. Your arrogance and pedestrian intellect got to me. It is a pity since I have been a fan of Salon for quite some time, and it is really disappointing to see the quality of this blog go down.
"I had an unexpectedly substantive discussion" ... please ... so you like the sound of your voice in the radio ahh?

Now, why is it that Republicans are incapable of discussing gay marriage without bringing up bestiality, incest, and polygamy?
Thank God they don't know what goes on in my house!
Your brief archive shows nothing but inane and reactionary criticism of Greenwald from the moment you logged on; really stupid stuff, not worthy of being taken seriously. Its obvious that you're a troll from the word go. If you are trying to present yourself as a disillusioned Greenwald reader, then you'd better hope no one checks clicks that little other letters link.
Are you really a small kangaroo or do you just process information like one?
This one put cramps in my cheeks, darlin'. ;-}
Why do you like slavery, racism and bigotry, Chris?
Those Zionist scalawags!
Please don't leave! Is there anything Glenn could do to keep you as a reader. I'm sure, with your help, Glenn could improve.
And no doubt, one glance at your vitae will convince Glenn he is contending with a guy who knows what's what.
Can you be more specific in your complaint? Please?
Some of us having worked on the inside before, are reserving judgment. If Matt can hold his own, more power to him. IMHExperience, it takes both insiders and outsiders. It is distressing to see some of our best outsiders get drawn inside... but, that said, Matt indicated he could offer few details at this point. I'm willing to wait and see, and hope like the dickens, you're right.
premature accolation
Insects and Origami!
I'll figure out what it is when I can stop laughing.
Nope.
This clown the Midget Roo isn't a Troll. He's a nitwit. They're fun to play with.
The Wog doesn't do nitwits. If it did, I'd have to buy a larger server just to keep up with them.

Oh! Well, lookie here! This guy has a short attention span. He'd do well to hook up with the other mental midget The Rooman.

There may be a payoff to the weariness and irritation of skimming through posts from bLab, Synthetic Juice of Dollywood, Wince Myth, zweiback, and of course whatsisname... Xanax Dingleberry, I think?
You know who I mean: The Stuporheroes of Zion-- those proud, infinitely courageous Defenders of the Faith who willingly subject themselves to the thankless task of proselytizing among the wicked and debauched so that the Truth may be known, come what may!
Just to take one example: their desperately obsessive/compulsive habit of flogging "anti-Semitism" as the root cause for a recalcitrant refusal to genuflect to the political and ethical righteousness of the policies and practices of the State and government of Israel vis-à-vis Gaza and the Palestinians.
It suddenly flashed upon that, like James Thurber, I could update an ancient and ubiquitous folk tale to improve its relevance to current events.
My soon-to-be-copyrighted (we're on the honor system for the nonce) version of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" ends with the boy actually turning into a wolf due to his incessant habit of talking them up. And he's spotted and shot dead by a game warden.
I'm still working out a couple of kinks in the metaphor, but I have to credit the Stuporheroes for being thought-provoking.
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
