Discussing Israel/Gaza on right-wing talk radio

I had an unexpectedly substantive discussion of the Middle East and the "Islamic threat" on "The Hugh Hewitt Show" last night.

    @ Chris Sinnard

I know Glenn considers everything I say, because he's too smart not to. On some level, I know he'll rethink mindlessly spitting out accusations that the national media is "fixed" not to criticize Israel.

The Daily Show counts. Glenn himself counts. Even the excoriable Drudge is running a headline about the school bombing that is tragic and reprehensible, and will bring well justified heat on Israel to explain what the hell it is doing.

Israel can and should be held to account, and it will, Glenn's conspiracy theories of "silence" notwithstanding.

As to the Israel-hating and anti-Jewish nonsense that appears in these threads, I will always speak out against historical ignorance and coded bigotry, because it's all of our duties to speak out when we see that sort of ugliness. I spoke out when conservatives were smearing Islam as a "religion of hatred" and I'll speak out when "liberals" (although I don't know what some of you are, as that label's not even close) talk about hidden cabals of Jewish financing and manipulation.
