Which helps to explain, in part, Mr. Greenwald's dismissive attitude toward Israel, and why he shows so much sympathy for the destruction-seeking enemies of the only Jewish state in the Middle East.
A little know fact is that Hitler completed his preliminary draft of "Mein Kampf" on Feb. 1st, 1912 (2/1/12), which goes far to explain our mangy mutt Lab's writing here. Coinkydence? I think not. I can spot a Nazi sympathiser from a mile away and the use of "2112" just confirms it. Case closed.
Cheers,
Are we to assume that because you write in English, you drink tea while reciting Shakespeare? The German language has nothing to do with the situation in Gaza, and one's resulting distaste for Israel's actions. Leonard Bernstein had you pegged. (Can you see how stupid statements like your's sound?)
I really only needed the functional link, and if you say that one is functional, then that's good enough for me. I'd like to read the report, but am afraid it might be too much for my system [in more ways than one]...I really don't know why it didn't work in the first place. I don't understand computers too well. I'll leave it as it is for now. :-)
What on earth possesses certain people to routinely expel noxious fumes from their lower GI tract as if said excretions somehow had the force of Law?
I'm thinking of this

but it happens all the time. I mean, really. What the Hell?
Glenn, I knew if I read your articles, long enough, one day I would be smiling!! This does, indeed, sound like wonderful news (and boy, we could all use some of that!). I know it's too soon, but I'm still getting a little of my early primary excitement back, thinking about the possibilities. Ms. Dawn Johnson sounds perfect and I think Leon might be OK, but the best news is Jane Harmon getting punked. I hate DINO's worse than DLC members (what's up with forming an elitists clique inside of the Democratic Party anyway? I thought they were all supposed to be equal and not establishing power ranks). I think you know where I stand on prosecuting the animals, so I won't go further, but this might just happen with some more folks, like Dawn, in the clip.
Well, love ya whether the news is good or bad, because I know you're being straight about it and that's as patriotic as it gets. Take care, compadre. (Thanx for the good news, though! :)
That's fine. If you change your mind, you know where to find me. I'll hang onto it for a bit, in case... My computer doesn't have the best relationship with Adobe, so I don't want to try downloading it again. ;-)
especially in light of Feinstein and Rockefeller getting in a huff and casual_observer's astute observation that as Chief of Staff, Panetta was presumably exposed to intelligence briefings of the highest order. It also goes without saying that if Obama had to go this far afield to avoid the taint of torture complicity, then we might even hold out some hope for punishment of the guilty parties.
I had been rooting for Jami Miscik because there's evidence to suggest that the reason she's no longer with CIA is that she dared to say "no" to Cheney, just as Johnsen is being celebrated because she is claiming to have the courage to say "no" to Obama if the situation calls for it. Maybe Panetta will put Miscik at an upper level position and we can all be happy...
there is an html version of that report online here:

"....you reveal yourself in their usage to be more the lawyer than the journalist."Wow, you're kidding with that one, right?"
No I don't think so mate. This is from Glen[n]'s bio.
"I was previously a constitutional law and civil rights litigator in New York."
So then that appears to be our columnist's first discipline. And no bad thing to[o?]. Being that's the case Glenn brings to journalism those qualities that have been sadly lacking. Someone on another thread accused him of being "verbose". The more accurate term would have been "exhaustive". That's what you would hope for from a lawyer being well on top of his brief. Another value is that all journalists whether good or bad eventually write to market. This they can't help eventually doing and it even turning into their "shtick" because they were writers to begin with. And all writers that want to get paid for doing it have to in some way please their audience.
The good thing about having law as a first discipline is that you just write the best opinion that you can irrespective of whether the client likes it or not.
Now all Glenn with an "nn," like Liza's got a "zz," has to do is something quite outrageous. Put out the feelers for some old hand tabloid writer with a sound mind and a good grasp of the CRAFT of tabloid writing to give some guidance and see if there are any useful tricks to be learnt and he could widen his readership by a considerable margin.
In other words go from writing albums for a cult following to writing 3 minute hit singles for the masses.
The thing about the net is both a strength and a weakness. There is no obligation to limit the word count of a column.
Like musos with too much studio time you can end up suffering with an accute case of what I call "Dave Stewartitus."
Fucking fatal it is.

Bruce Mirken sends this summary of items seized by various DOJ agencies in 2008 that have been “placed into official use.”
The FBI apparently found official uses for $120,000 in seized jewelry and $134 in pornography.
Weirder, the U.S. Postal Service apparently found an “official use” for one dollar’s worth of pornography.
