It's you that's hung up on exactly one statement of mine. I made other statements, like Israel and the USA are cowards for war by pushing buttons from a distance, and that the loss of civilian life is unacceptable.
You however seized on my criticism of the explicit celebration of civilian death, ignored everything else I said, and used it to caricature me as some sort of Israeli operative. That you feel it is irrelevant that people explicitly and joyously celebrate murder, or that you feel that there is some equivalent practice in America, only further shows the impossibility of having a rational discussion on the matter.
Glenn wrote (in a posted response):
"Try this instead: some people are so self-absorbed and developmentally stunted that whatever is drilled into their heads in childhood about who are the Good People and the Bad People and who Their Team must be is never questioned by them, and those simplistic lessons therefore end up mindlessly shaping their fixations and biases well into adulthood, all masquerading as some sort of political analysis."
I dare say that this characterizes much or even most of humanity to large degree.
No, I took one thing that bothered me about your statement. It seemed petty and ill-informed and I pointed it out to you. I'm happy to take reposibility for all my statements. Don't write things you're not willing to defend. And if you do, have the integrity to back away from them when they are proven to be baseless.
...here's a response. America has behaved badly on a consistent basis for about eight years. I'm not counting Vietnam in this, because Americans disagreed on what the government was doing. Also, what we did after World War II to rehabilitate the world is certainly a plus side. So let's say eight years of bad behavior.
Iraq, Iran, Syria and the rest of the Middle East have been continually at war for CENTURIES. Without end. Quite a different matter.
They don't want to make peace, or know peace, or do anything with peace. And after decades of thinking that Israel was different, I'm forced to admit they're part of the same pot of stinky stew.
Jesus said to forgive a sinner seven times seventy. These guys have gone way past 491. Let them stay in their own murderous playpen and let's figure out how to live without them. And since they are unable to change their natures, pretty soon it'll be no problem to live without them.
And if you do, have the integrity to back away from them when they are proven to be baseless.
You've proven no such thing. There was no widespread celebration in America when GW landed on the aircraft carrier. You're simply trying to draw parallels where they do not exist, because you are incapable (unlike me) of seeing the wrong on both sides, and grasp at false equivalencies to try to bolster your point.
Innocent liberals like you often don't understand how ruthless Hamas is. The image of a sterling resistance group to a colonial state seams romantic, and the crimes of Hamas are overlooked in this regard.
Fact is Hamas puts civilians right on top or near its ammo dumps. They put the munitions in schools, mosques and apartment buildings.
Now in Hollywood movies when someone grabs and innocent victim and points the gun at her, saying he'll shoot her if you shoot him, the Hollywood hero drops the gun.
Liberals, welcome to the real world where you shoot both of them. Thats what war is. Get over it.
I only wish you could see my interpretation of Urkel as a Cheder boy. "Oy Gevalt, Did I say thaaaat?"
You gotta be there. My wife isn't home right now, but I hear her saying "It doesn't work then, either"
Achand for her I break my kishkas every day?
Anyone familiar with this caper? from 9/11:
According to ABC’s 20/20, when the van belonging to the cheering Israelis was stopped by the police, the driver of the van, Sivan Kurzberg, told the officers: "We are Israelis. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are your problem"Out of the mouths of babes and lippy little shits what?

By the way nice hear you Dirbig. Did you get to sell that so butch it was gay bit of kit you were selling?
You attribute a lot to my statements, things that are just not there. I am angered by the US's celebration of slaughter, I hate it when people do it in Palestine. In fact, I've watched it happen, not in video, but in real life. Its something I decry in this culture and that one. What really makes me angry is when an American, having his hands drenched in blood from the conflicts his government undertakes, focuses on a brutalized people to make himself feel morally superior. A Palestinian could easily make similar observations about Americans's reactions to their brutal slaying of innocents in the muslim world. In fact, they do. A lot.
You'll find no defense of dancing in the streets in any of my posts, but what you will find is annoyance at the broad brush people like you seek to paint Palestinians because of the actions of some, while their own country is engaged in two invasions at once.

Cluster bombs have uranium do they not?
&were banned by UN-& why I chose not to support HRC in her Pres bid (cluster-bomb vote).
I've seen vid of massabcre all over web. Believe legit..
It was afterall, the police tht Israel targettted in thier first bombing campaign-whaich is what pics of uniforms show..
(DEAD men in uniforms I should say)..
which is strategy to cause chaos-by isolating those who control it (police) from the civilians to try to invoke more fear..

Yeah, Omooex, it's like writing a computer program. A couple of wrong statements in the initial programming makes no difference at all to the outcome! Everybody knows that!
