Vague pledges to "end torture" and "comply with treaties and laws"

When politicians pay lip service to vague generalities, it reveals nothing about what they actually intend to do about the worst of the abuses.

    Now dems are in charge

    Are we seeing knee-jerk reactions with those who support anyone with a 'D' after their name?

    Do such folk really think the 'D' bestows some magic that turns blatantly unconstitutional and evil acts and laws into something good?

    I guess only 'R's are greedy and power-seeking. Those 'D's are wholesome, altruistic, benevolent folk who plan to use such powers for 'good'

    Let's denounce laws and acts for what they are, not who sponsors or supports them.
