Why do Feinstein and Wyden sound much different on the torture issue now?

The two Senators spent the year emphatically insisting that the CIA's interrogators comply with the Army Field Manual. With Democrats in control, they're not so emphatic any longer

    ,,,and, dvw....a little more....

Lester Crown, was very much involved with his father, Henry's blatantly "conflicted" attorney, Albert E. Jenner, but also with Patrick Hoy, as well:

Corruption in the legislature Cement Bribery Trial

"....As if [Lester] Crown's account of shabby dealings in the executive suites of a major corporation did not raise enough eyebrows, Crown's lawyer added a dash of surprise himself. Albert E. Jenner, Jr., the prestigious Chicago lawyer who had served as minority counsel in the U.S. House Judiciary Committee's impeachment proceedings concerning President Nixon and whose law firm had negotiated the package immunity deal for Crown and company...rising from his front-row seat in the spectators' section to object to a question posed to his client...."

    Sep 23, 1970

Accounting ledgers made public yesterday in Federal District Court revealed that Patrick H. Hoy never repaid $156,738 he borrowed from the sons of Henry Crown, the industrialist.

Only the "owning" of billions of dollars of mob derived wealth could get someone this kind of "juice":

Governor helped Crown keep U.S. security OK

    Author: Michael Briggs

    Date: August 4, 1986

"Gov. Thompson, who granted industrialist Lester Crown immunity from prosecution in a bribery case as a federal prosecutor more than 10 years ago, also gave Crown a recent character reference for the Defense Department.

Both U.S. senators from Illinois also heaped praise on Crown, who was seeking to keep his top-secret defense clearance.."

Apparently, nothing has change in 22 years....as both recent, Illinois senators are still partial to the Crown family fortune....they should be...they certainly are paid to be....
