Why do Feinstein and Wyden sound much different on the torture issue now?

The two Senators spent the year emphatically insisting that the CIA's interrogators comply with the Army Field Manual. With Democrats in control, they're not so emphatic any longer

    Glenn, et al

As I say, Libertarians only want to argue, argue to the death if it comes to that, but beyond the argument... what? The argument should be enough, shouldn't it? The problem is, it's not. It may be a start. Maybe.

If you don't know who the "reformed Republicans" on the so-called Left Blogosphere are, then you simply aren't paying attention. But then, I know you are paying plenty of attention, so I can only assume you're pretending not to know. Why would you feign ignorance? Hmm. Curious. Of course if you're wondering why I don't spend my time calling out Markos and Arianna and Aravosis and the others...

You may know that I'm otherwise engaged right now and Teh Revolution is just gonna have to wait. Darn it. But there you are.

On the other hand, my point, which I have made quite clearly, is that there isn't going to be a Revolution from the Left (real or imagined Left) any time soon. If there is going to be (another) Revolution, beyond the Reaganite one, it's going to come from the Right, from the fractured, fear-ridden, and ever-more-put-upon Rightists, who can turn into a mob at the flick of a switch and wreak whatever havoc their tantrums lead to, and there is very little any of us can do about it. If they see their Revolution jeopardized by this Marxist/Socialist/Leninist/Stalinist/Maoist/Alien who's to be the President, believe me, they will rise.

Which is why, I think, the Obama Regime is being politically brilliant by succoring (or is it suckering?) the opinion leaders of the Right, currying them, stroking them, making them happy, and pissing off practically everyone else.

"Everyone else" will remain passive no matter what.

It's the ones with the guns you gotta worry about.
