Why do Feinstein and Wyden sound much different on the torture issue now?

The two Senators spent the year emphatically insisting that the CIA's interrogators comply with the Army Field Manual. With Democrats in control, they're not so emphatic any longer

    ALL lawmakers and government officials

Who espouse the need to be "pragmatic" and go beyond the Field Manual (and thus violate the Conventions Against Torture, Abuse, and Inhumane Treatment, to say nothing of Geneva) or allow "latitude" should be required to experience any and all proposed "pragmatic" extensions in a manner that matches what would be inflicted upon actual prisoners. No "pragmatic" tools experienced in a Reader's Digest or niced up manner, but in the actual manner and extent they are eager to hand over to the US Gestapo troops.

You want waterboarding on the table? Then you MUST be waterboarded - not abbreviated waterboarding, ACTUAL REAL WATERBOARDING. You want electric shocks to the testicles of vagina? Then that is what you get to experience in all its glory FIRST. You want extended sleep deprivation (to the point of causing hallucinations, emotional disturbance, etc) then that is what you MUST experience first.

These shit heaps are all "tough" when it comes to torturing anyone and everyone except themselves and their loved ones...unacceptable. Whatsoever you propose to allow, you must first experience in full glory so that you know exactly of what you spew.
