I canceled my cable subscription two months ago and now I get NO reception. Know what? I don't miss a thing; in fact I've GAINED peace of mind.
What set me over the edge one night was not network news (which I'd stopped watching long ago, because the "readers" just plain LIE), but CABLE news, which believe it or not is just as bad (case in point: Its 24/7 coverage of a sexual affair by a political has-been during the Russia/Georgia conflict). The station that sent me clear over the "edge" turned out to be CNN.
Kudos to Mr. Greenwald for not letting up. The Corporatocracy does not have our best interests in mind, PERIOD, and that includes MSNBC, the harmless and toothless "controlled opposition." I figure there is no point to paying a cable subscription just to catch Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. I can catch my truth - and the Daily Show - for FREE on the internet.
