(Dat make believe mystic guru astrologer, sometimes makes me sick)

Astrologer, huh? As long as people are willing to put faith in things not proven, let me offer this explanation: Both Mars and Mercury must be retrograde.

As to Mumbai, no one yet knows who did it or why? However, speculation passes the time.

  • Che, then get a load of this...

"In a personal and wide-ranging interview conducted by his sister about his legacy, his faith and the influence of his father, President George W. Bush said he hopes to be remembered as a liberator of the Iraqi people.

"I'd like to be a president [known] as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace," Bush told his sister, Dorothy Bush Koch, in a conversation recorded for the oral-history organization StoryCorps for the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.

An excerpt of the interview was aired on National Public Radio Thursday, and the White House released additional excerpts with both the president and first lady Laura Bush today."

They are just going to have to invent new words for this shit.

I think I have every right to bring up Kucinich if I wish, so why don't you knock off telling me what I may write about. Let us not pretend that you were the first to be rude to me when I had not even addressed you.

    -- AKA Smith

It was a rhetorical remark to you. You must need some sleep or something. On the other hand time and again I've read that crap about we should have voted for Kucinich if blah blah blah and I think it's just stupid. He had no chance of winning, and therefore it is nonsense to tell a liberal or a left person, or whatever, that they are being hypocritical because they chose not to throw away their vote and help McCain become president. If you want to keep using that bullshit remark be my guest. I have no desire to 'try and shut you up'. But I will tell you what I think about it, as I just did.

  • @ Kitt:

I'm finding it quite difficult to communicate with you.

That would probably be because your initial post to me addressed a side issue rather than the substance of my post and I have been annoyed since and trying to actually address my post and not some imagined attack on Obama.

Yeah, the education system needs and has needed a lot of work. Is that supposed to be news? Specific to that, my daughter has made a career in teaching, and she has written and published a new and successful approach to teaching children reading.

And if the approach continues to prove successful, she may revolutionize education since stategies for teaching reading have proven over and over to be the greatest of disappointments in education.

Give my best to her, for people who can have the patience to teach reading are truly (along with special ed teachers) the saints of education.

Her new curriculum is in the process of making headway in school districts in northern California. Soon, I expect, many more districts will be using it also. I can't think of a better way to improve on our education system than to teach children from a young age to learn how to make the most out of critical thinking due to an ability to read and understand what they are reading.

Yes, we agree on this. Moreover, we will get along in the future if you address the substance of my posts. As to your particular point of view, I confess not to have remembered anymore about you than what you have offered in this thread.

    Pax.

  • ."If you want to keep using that bullshit remark be my guest."

    Like I said: Rude!

  • To Kitt again:

    Un-Pax!

  • AKA Smith

Far be it from me to interpose myself between you and Kitt. However, I do have a question about a comment you made: Yet somehow, we must -- as a way to get Bin Laden -- re-engage with the Taliban, infuriate Pakistan, and do nation building (spread Democracy) in Afghanistan?

It's my understanding that the Pakistani ISI has backed the Taliban for several years (indeed, the ISI probably was the primary force in the creation of the Taliban). Why, then, would this "infuriate Pakistan"?

    Have I read this right?
