Mumbai, the NYT's revisionism, and lessons not learned

The Times' Editorial Page blames the Bush administration for "blessing" the military coup against Hugo Chavez without mentioning that it did the same. Why does that matter?

    @ Kitt:

I'm finding it quite difficult to communicate with you.

That would probably be because your initial post to me addressed a side issue rather than the substance of my post and I have been annoyed since and trying to actually address my post and not some imagined attack on Obama.

Yeah, the education system needs and has needed a lot of work. Is that supposed to be news? Specific to that, my daughter has made a career in teaching, and she has written and published a new and successful approach to teaching children reading.

And if the approach continues to prove successful, she may revolutionize education since stategies for teaching reading have proven over and over to be the greatest of disappointments in education.

Give my best to her, for people who can have the patience to teach reading are truly (along with special ed teachers) the saints of education.

Her new curriculum is in the process of making headway in school districts in northern California. Soon, I expect, many more districts will be using it also. I can't think of a better way to improve on our education system than to teach children from a young age to learn how to make the most out of critical thinking due to an ability to read and understand what they are reading.

Yes, we agree on this. Moreover, we will get along in the future if you address the substance of my posts. As to your particular point of view, I confess not to have remembered anymore about you than what you have offered in this thread.

    Pax.
