  • @serious note

By the way, Baldster, that was Ayman al-Zawahiri, not bin Laden, who made the Malcolm X - house negro comment about Obama.

  • Interesting quote

Brutal regimes and others who seek to stifle liberty often do so by closing down private newspapers and radio and television stations. They kidnap, arbitrarily jail, and beat journalists...Some journalists have been taken from their families for years, and others have been killed for speaking out.

(My emphasis) From a speech delivered by President George W. Bush on May 1, 2008, the day before journalist Sami al Hajj was released to Sudan. Quoted by Al Jazeera English, on YouTube (at about minute 15 on the clip),

The video is an interesting backgrounder in case anyone still doesn't know who he is.

But that doesn't happen in America, we just kidnap, arbitrarily jail, and beat terrorists...and a few others, like Uighurs, Bosnians, journalists, taxi drivers, middle-aged Iraqi men,...

Ok, what's a girl gotta do to make it into your troll competition? And I warn you: I gave up the black fishnets in my 20s because they do bite badly into my lily-white, Irish skin.

  • I Hear You Mona,

Ok, what's a girl gotta do to make it into your troll competition? And I warn you: I gave up the black fishnets in my 20s because they do bite badly into my lily-white, Irish skin.

    except for the girl part.

  • @omoo

To some degree, that's the story of every high politician of the last few decades---to move up to the national level, you forsake the local for the universal. I get that. But as you suggest, Obama gave up a little more than most. And it's no surprise.

Where the majority of Dems and liberals agree with Obama's old liberal views, I think there will be change. Restrictions on abortion rights will no doubt be rolled back. But the rights of turrists are like plutonium. He will not be leading his flock anywhere it feels uncomfortable.

"Security " (as in "blanket") has proven to be the big political-discussion ender, hasn't it? After all, as the trolls have lectured us for years, you can't talk about how to spend taxes if you're dead---or if you're too busy talking about security.

  • snoid

Ah, that makes more sense. I need to pay more attention.

  • Mr. Bird Of Pray

snoid. Ah, that makes more sense. I need to pay more attention.

    See? (I think NOT).

    The Bible, friend.

  • @ Intercooler

Unfortunately, it did not work with the Military Analyst Propaganda story, but perhaps that is because it involved virtually the entirely of the MSM. This story is more confined, and would make for an interesting and darkly revealing investigation.

I guess the trick is to find a network that will actually let you say/define torture, and who is practicing it, domestically.

Why does Sisyphus come to mind?

  • Oh!, Mona

"Ok, what's a girl gotta do to make it into your troll competition? And I warn you: I gave up the black fishnets in my 20s because they do bite badly into my lily-white, Irish skin." -- -Mona-

Mona, Darlin, Mom, Lily White Irish No-Hose Madam, or whatever,

As the Original Oh! Girl, you have been disqualified from competition for the title Troll of the Day. There is no appeal and you are requested to please show some restraint in this regard.

When I return from competing in the Hully Gully contest in Key West this week (that's sort of like Dancing with the Stars for old pasty-white straight guys) and if Pedinska holds up her end of the bargain (she promised not to throw me to the ground and beat me to a pulp at Captain Tony's Saloon if she caught me looking up her skirt while she was affixing a "used purple see-through Brassiere" to the ceiling), I am planning on adding a Contributor of the Day award to the Wog Blog. I am sure that you would be a prime candidate for that prestigious award if you would (a) show up here more often, and (b) reply to the question I asked you a couple of years ago in a private e-mail. You may comply with (b) privately.

    I hope this helps.

Oh!, I almost forgot.......link at sig

P.S. - You must also root for the Buckeyes tomorrow. :-)

Bin Laden nailed it as usual with his extremely blunt language. I disagree with the general intent of his remark, but it holds a large grain of truth.

Of course it holds a large grain of truth. "White people"* have certain characteristics and beliefs and "Black people"* have certain characteristics and beliefs. The idea of a house nigger would be absurd when applied to white folks. House cracker--come on. Sure, we have white suburban wiggers, but they don't really want to act black, they just want to piss off their parents. Just like when black kids do well at school. They don't want to learn, they just want to piss of their parents.

This is why young white kids tend to vote democratic. They want to piss off their parents by being wiggers.

Did you ever notice how when two or more black people get together they can't help but start singing and dancing. This is because black people are more in touch with the animal side of humanity.

Did you ever notice how when two or more white people get together they can't help but do business with each other. This is because white people are more in touch with the civilized side of humanity.

I am now getting sick to my stomach trying to keep this up. Baldie, I am sorry that this post quoted you, but what you said rubbed me the wrong way and if this post can't win "troll of the day" then it isn't worth winning.

Jesus frickin christ on a popsicle stick, the concept of race is even more absurd than intelligent design. At least they don't use science as a crutch for their insanity.

Dragging someone down the street chained to the back of a truck because they don't believe in god does not make god real.

    * As confirmed by the Pantone color swatch and hair curl test.
