"Does that mean I don't have to overnight the tights and thigh-high boots to her? Thank heavens, because I was hoping to wear them one last time this weekend..." -- ethics_professor
I promised Pedinska that I would not mention her thighs while she could not defend herself.
However....
You should definately wear those thigh-high boots this weekend. Once you loan them to her, you won't be able to hold them up without braces.
Youy wouldn't happen to have some fishnet hose that I could borrow, would you? Pedinska and I are going fishing next week and they'll come in handy.
I voted for Obama
But I didn't bargain for Bibi Emmanuel and Lieberdick.
There it is in a few words! But to be truthful about it, all I could think of was Obama. It never occurred to me, in the joy of seeing Obama elected and McCain defeated, that as soon as we get past Obama, we get right back to the Democrats. And Obama is a Democrat.
Oh well, it has just got to be too soon. And Obama can't do anything if he has to fight the entire Democratic party as well as the Repubs.
Crap, it is going to be a long couple of months. Till the direction and intents of the Obama administration becomes clear. A very, very long, fraught couple of months, or maybe longer. Crap.
Mt sense? IMO. It's what I feel.
You break my heart in the best and worst of times.
That's what a skillful bard does.
I guess I read more negativity into your post than you intended. Sorry about that.
I probably don't know much if anything more about the Green Party than you do. I don't even know if they're connected much if at all to England's Greens. I've tended to vote Green but not exclusively. In fact, Nader was on my ballot as a representative of the Natural Law Party this election, not of the Greens.
Meanwhile, Pedinska is busy washing her sneakers and ironing her tutu for her recital on Duval St. Saturday night. Oh, Lordy!
I was going to wear my swim fins....
Dropped my voter registration, change-of-party-affiliation form in the mail today, and I feel great. I've cut loose from those invertebrates known as the Democratic party. I am officially an Independent, and I love it.
DNC, you've gotten all the money you'll get out of me. You don't give a damn about grassroots Democrats, and in return, this formerly loyal grassroot Democrat no longer gives a damn about you.
The hell with Harry Reid, Joe Lieberman, and the rest of the professional hucksters of the Democratic Party!
Even though I voted for Nader...
I'll have to give Nader one thing, when he had the interview on FOX and made the "Uncle Sam or Uncle Tom" comment, he provided much more entertainment than should be allowed for an adult dose. And watching the FOX guy trying to walk Nader back from that comment was priceless. I laughed so hard I literally got a nosebleed! I think that should be the basis of Nader's next campaign:
"Nader: He knows the difference between an Uncle Sam and an Uncle Tom. Isn't that the kind of man America needs now?"
I'll never cease being grateful to Nader for that interview. Gosh, too bad he couldn't have worked Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima in there, too.
Gosh, too bad he couldn't have worked Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima in there, too.
And the guy on the Cream of Wheat box.
Talk about a trifecta.
understand and truly value this threshold moment in American history....
It is sad on so many levels observing such petty envy and this level of contempt for Obama of course I am not surprise by this ordor coming from some liberal venues and outposts..
The very idea thata Black man like Obama is not following the liberal script just drives these shallow liberals to no end...The very idea that Obama has kicked these culturally underdeveloped folks to the margains is a mortal sin to these losers...
I am loving every minute and I will enjoy every decision and policy that Obama creates without the approval of these shallow liberal nothings like GG and others..
This is a great threshold moment and I am truly having a ball...lol,lol,lol
...support for Democrats from me.
This year I volunteered for Jeff Merkley in Oregon, calling strangers on the phone and telling them how electing him would make a difference in Washington. And I donated money to the Obama campaign. Both won. Not just because of me, but because of millions like me who believed in Change.
I am registered as an independent, but, foolishly, I believed that Change would happen.
I may vote for a Democrat from time to time. But if I ever give my time and money to a candidate it will be for one who represents a party of true change. Not sure if there is one in this benighted country, but I know for certain it is NOT the Democratic Party.

This article is potentially leading not to transcendence, but to more brokeness.
I hear some people saying in these letters "they will never vote again," "they will never believe another politician."
After such hope and possibility...
I was a Democrat before I could vote, but you have to be practical. Pragmatic. People on the left who want everything their way all the time from their politicians need to grow up. It will never always be every way you want - because it's not possible. You have to compromise sometimes. Obama will rule from the center - that is what he has been talking about all along.
He will rule with sophistication, nuance, consulting expertise. You can't really have change without walking your talk, and competence in governing. You don't make everything personal. This isn't about punishing people. This is bigger than that.
You know that saying:
"You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can never please all the people all the time."
That will always be true.
Don't be a sabotager.
