Has there been too much bipartisanship or too little? The reward Joe Lieberman will receive today is justified by the claimed need for more bipartisanship harmony. Is it even possible to have more than we have now?

  • GoodCelery!

Wait a minute. I agree with Derbig. If something's gone seriously wrong I hope you (or someone with you?) have spoken with your doctor, the ER, someone.

Please don't just let it happen.

  • @derbig: is that your best retort..lol,lol,lol

Do me a favor ignore me so I can ignore you..You are already boring me and I just got here tonite....

  • @-- normbreyfogle

Like I said, norm, this is a bumper year for schmendricks, I should know.

  • derbig reminds me of those lounge lizards at bars always poking in other's chats with pearls of wisdom

which are really zero nonsense but you ignore because he is a slug.......lol,lol,lol

yeah lounge lizard is a good handle for derbig.....lol,lol,lol

  • Talk about revealing

They have no idea about the true being of the nature of a person like Obama as such it troubles them and as a result ...

I guess now we'll have to tolerate literal Obama-worshipers for the next 4-8 years.

  • @ now I have to tolerate white folks acting like social workers during Obama's tenure..

    what a boring routine ahead....

  • Lucky Charms are for Liebermans

    Trix are for kids

    And change is for chumps...

  • Timothy-3

I can have a hard time reading Celery's posts correctly, so I may not have it right. But I'm with you, if he's not well, I hope he does something about it as soon as he can. I know I can be very reluctant to go back to the doctor after I've been already.

But I'm not sure if I am reading his post correctly, I just hope he can be as well as he can.

"Gee, so trying to submarine Lieberman with Lamont backfired, and all involved are blaming everyone but themselves? Keep up the good work."-- shooter242

submarine -- To slide, drive, or throw under something.

Running another candidate against an incumbent for a party's primary would correctly be refered to as challenging for the seat, not attempting to submarine the incumbent.

Lamont won that primary and then Lieberman tried to submarine the Connecticut Democratic party by running as an Independent.

backfire -- To produce an unexpected, undesired result.

What's unfolded since Lamont lost the general election couldn't be termed backfiring unless you're implying that Joe's chickenshit behavior since then is a direct reaction to being openly challenged rather than simply the true expression of who he was all along. Wouldn't that be like you blaming other commenters at UT for the fact that you're a troll?

  • Derbig Mooser

So you think my voting Green is something of which I should be ashamed? I don't think you should be ashamed for voting for Obama (assuming that you did so). I almost did, myself.

I merely vote for the candidates which seem, to my flawed mind, to be speaking the most sense.

Even though I voted for Nader, I'm still willing to give Obama a chance. But as I wrote, how many times will we be willing to hit our heads against a political brick wall? It's a rational question. (Btw, I know that's exactly what I'm doing by voting Green, too, but as I indicated, I vote for the candidates which make the most sense, not those most likely to win.)

  • @derbig aka lounge lizard..I shall be back tomorrow..I know you will be here

    oh yeah...lol,lo,lol

  • Speaking of lounge lizards...

You guys didn't know me back when I was doing lounges. Here's a sample, one of my all time favorites. I'm the guy in the iridescent outfit with the beard. That's how you spell "iridescent"? Coulda fooled me! Anyway:

  • I voted for Obama

But I didn't bargain for Bibi Emmanuel and Lieberdick.

  • Pearls of something

    ... lol, lol, lol

    ... lol, lol, lol

    ... lol, lol, lol

    Wisdom? I don't think so.

  • "lol"

    Lot's 'o Lieberman?

    Oh I hope not.

  • Just Saw this at ThinkProgress

A South Texas grand jury has returned multi-count indictments against Vice President Dick Cheney and former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on charges related to the alleged abuse of prisoners in Willacy County’s federal detention centers ....

We probably need Ondelette or someone else here (including Glenn) to tell us (or, at least, me) just what the implications of this are.

  • LOL? What Is This, 1992??

Great Big Turd threatens: "I shall be back tomorrow..I know you will be here . . . oh yeah...lol,lo,lol"

Somewhere, in a basement in suburban America, a kid is saying, "Mom, Gregory's still on the computer and won't let me use it . . . . "

  • I Don't Know, Baldie

    Wisdom? I don't think so.

but it made me laugh out loud.

    Wait a minute ...

  • I got no spleen for the Greens.

So you think my voting Green is something of which I should be ashamed?

Nope. I would like to see the Greens gain some offices. Now, you would know more than me about this, but over in Europe, the Greens are a going Party, holding seats and I think, filling appointed positions, and slugging it out, politically, with the Social Democrats or whatever the hell they've got over there. Is the American Green party connected with the European Green Party?

As I'm sure you know, the American political system doesn't seem to support more than two parties at a time any more.

My most fervent hope is that an accounting for the last eight years will leave the Republican Party involved in so many law-suits and prosecutions that they will be toxic. No one will want to come near them. And I hope they will see all the Federal employees and local government employees who have thrown in their lot with the Repubs being put through a legal hell. If they Repubs are unable to function, basically because they attain a RICO status, something else will have a chance to come to prominence. We could only hope that whatever political party does pick up the pieces is half as good as the Greens.

  • @GC

Please, take care of yourself. My thoughts are with you, even if I'm a little too "literal" to get you all the time.

I still remember a comment of yours awhile ago about a smile on a dog that got to me...in a good way. Dogs still smile, even when we won't.

  • Timothy3? no ever ever never never, would I bad moth Derbig Mooser. It's easy to be misconstrue what one says... Mooser knows I kiss big lips?

    Mt sense? IMO.

    It's what I feel.

    The other YKW.

    I'd not wish Joe,

    to do a heimlick.

    D. Mooser can stop over to enjoy banter anytime at my home.

The ones I'm thinking, need to be ignored. 'Um loose from WKW?

Child Protective Services say: call monster mash clown quartet.

    What happened?

    bred on twinkie.

    talented drools.

    demented snail.

    `Ignore. William Blake say:

`To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a Wild Flower; Hold Infinity in the palm of `your hand, and Eternity in an hour.' I say:` a no ponder toxic sludge. The filthy need help/ `ugh. But I'd not go near... contaminated, defiled, 'skivy' ivy- meaning germs, hives, and `there are lowly reprobation cases: `the basest male/female.

`Let 'um wander off and heave-gag, dying beast in natures.
