Has there been too much bipartisanship or too little? The reward Joe Lieberman will receive today is justified by the claimed need for more bipartisanship harmony. Is it even possible to have more than we have now?

  • typo. Can You? ah, believe? Aaaaaargh. huh.

Even z. newberry, respectfully, weasels, and are wee, a wee, bit learning? Wee off a porch?

Hear pee sizzle. funny sound, a hiss, a fit, a goof, or a real wake up alarm crow call alert?

maybe a zebra herd will overrun the country? Glenn wrote:`*Is it even possible to have more than we have now? O what a potent potion. What a great loaded puzzling question. I love these damn UT reads. I'm serious as a heart attack. No one shocks mamma/you anymore. My amazement is amazed each day. That's good, or even great. There is a careful reuniting, and I often feel a vague sensation that is`exuberantly grateful. Others help me/you find 'our' inner cry, a voice. Weep. No pee britches. Peas in a green shell pod. O so hungering, truths.

    Gimme some Hope. Gimme.

    Letters are gifts to me/you?

    Maybe a colorful sorta canvass?

A colorful painting, a gold mosaic.

If a zebra party is formed, heehaw.

Ananda Coomaraswamy (yea, and what cool handel musical name, huh Handel.) A. C. (electric jolt, Zeus?) wrote: or rather argued this: *"that one of the causes of disarray of modern civilization (Yea in that it's expressed by somebody human, ah, Yea.) was the divorce from the beautiful from the useful."*

    `

All 'gadgets' possessions (paraphrase), not at the same time, beautiful and useful, and are an affront to human dignity. * So, 'our' society is not the first to Divorce Beauty from Useful. There are workers, idle fraud fakes(politico's), and real workman/women skilled craft-ships, so to speak. There are good public servants too. (?where?) I mean a "intellectual" conceives a world one way, but only healthy emotions in true motivations are/is... worthy of our respect? yes/no.

    Significant.

    Magnificent.

Motive is not pure intent, [?].

    a useless "luxury" will degrade.

    In other words:`what emerges?

    An Ugly appearance or Beautiful.

If it's no longer a beautiful tool, or human, yikes,

Things get messy, ugly, vain, and decay into dust.

A broken nation:`said Thomas Hardy, will crumble.

*In Times of the Breaking & Crumble of Nations* (notion).

So, what will manifest is more squalor, disorder, and we become inured. sleep, doze.

People are NOT even, even, ever ever, ever never never, on a eve, or a morning, even

aware of decay, corruption, disorder. That's real sad. I believe.:`IMO. Numb. Denials.

    That's real dangerous.

    Inevitable collapses.

    It always does happen.

    So, we people are shocked?

So, critters are busy preparing? boil egg.

Am I a zebra, or a ostrich bird berry egg?

Am I unaware? Too goofy, stand so ugly,

cranky, lame, and wobble at feet ground level?

Any human, what label? People can degenerate.

I believe the pointed criticism is healthy for a nation.

A individual stands or falls. Delusion? Confusion? Ah!

Good post. Good cooked goose. Spit out lice, and bones.

  • Mavericks cross the line

They reach across the aisle. They don't look for some lofty ideal. They look down low, to find common ground, common values, like the lowest common denominator. They aim for the bottom.

It's about values. It's about compromise. It's about working together.

It's about working together to compromise our values

  • Joe Lieberdude

    Durin' the campaign

    Pressed a sharpened blade

    To Barack's back

    Now his political reward

    The princely minister

    'O the crib

    From out 'ol Adam's rib

    'O Homeland Secured Crack

    Huh?

    Somethin's wrong with this picture

    I feel the black listenins

    Of a tightly bound stricture

    Lemme outta here!

    Yo! Barack!

    Got me a piece

    'O the craggy Lieber-rock

    With that kinda insurance

    I can rest

    Like Captain Ay-rab

    In Jonah's whale's

    Great white Lieber

    Stomach lining

    Just a chillin' and rhymin...

  • Clashing of Ideas

The problem is that we've had far too little clashing of ideas and far too much consensus. I can't fathom anyone thinking we actually need more consensus in our political class, but there are -- obviously -- plenty of people who crave that.

There has been NO clashing of ideas. There are simply smears and ad hominem attacks. But I also think that the smears and attacks are what are considered partisan -- so bipartisanship is now considered not smearing the other guy. The concept of debating ideas is so far gone that no one even imagines it anymore.

  • To Sonofloud

You are absolutely correct. I am always amazed at how easy it was for Democrats to turn on Clinton and call his presidency a failure and now attack HC as the ultimate insider.

What is the difference between these people and Joe Lieberman? If Lieberman should be cast out so should all the Dems who supported Obama's contention that BC's presidency was a failure and that HC is a snide, power hungry B**ch.

It seems that Democrats turning on other Democrats leads to pretty big rewards.

My answer, though, respect BC and HC's many accomplishments and the fact that they have consistently taken the right wing on (ergo the constant vitriol against them) and send JL out for not playing with his own team.

  • peaceofcake;,

Methinks moonshine corn stock cork needs popped.

Come on over and we ask for duck lucks soup. okay?

There some West Virgin Vegan brew in a cellar crock.

O afraid to sip a hillbilly stock? Moonshine may blind.

It's good with a Piece of Cake. We all need vim vigor.

No sour apple pie vinegar. So, keep the good cheers.

O exceptional to just daze around all day. Ah do gaze.

  • what bipartisanship means

The update about says it. Bipartisanship means Democrats and Republicans working together to marginalize the people, specifically the left and the Libertarian right, but really all citizens. It means pundits and the MSM working together against the blogosphere.

Partisanship existed during the Bush administration because politicians were actually forced to listen to and even sometimes reluctantly, though temporarily, act upon the vociferous demands of the people. Partisanship, the people v. "center-right," elected Obama. This fact, of course, causes great consternation among the establishment.

Will Obama listen to and act upon the demands of those that elected him (partisanship)? Or will he (once again) join with fellow members of the league of status quo, and rule independent of his constituency (bipartisanship).

Bipartisan means "people of the US, STFU."
